"This happened a year ago." Wayne, was the car ever recovered? Very bold caper, suprised no movie has been made yet! John
My uncle just had an Enzo stolen near his house last year. Some guy came in for a testdrive and he drove the car for about an hour. He got to the harbor pulled a gun on the dealer and drove the car into a crate. The crate was lifted onto a yacht and bye bye. They still have not found that Enzo. Note that it was the first Enzo in New Jersey.
Yes I know. The cops came and there was a breif chase. But please Crown Vics vs. Enzo. We all know how that goes. But I have no idea how the heck that boat got anywhere. As said......"Only in NJ"
In a recent ploy to boost sales, Algar released word of their new sale; buy one Ferrari, get an F50 for free...! Ok, ok, i'm sorry; i don't wish any ill will on anyone nor am i trying to make anyone feel bad... Just a few jokes, that's all...
Sorry, I cannot believe this. The first Enzo in NJ would have had the new owner of the car there for delivery and NO ONE else would be test driving it. The car would have been ordered to the new owners specifications over a year earlier and delivery dates and everything would have been set in stone. As far as a police chase and then still having time to load it in a shipping crate and crane it onto a yacht. Get serious. Have you ever loaded a car in a crate before and lifted it onto a boat. No that quick an operation. This is not "Gone in 60 Seconds". This is the real world... Fairy tale, hoax................................
Yea no chance....the only person that would be driving it would be the owner, and if he wanted to drive off with it i don't think anyone would try and stop him.
A hot Enzo would have more publicity than a stolen F50, and I can't imagine more word of mouth spread and/or news articles than the Algar car.
Sorry guys I really can't confirm anything it may be a hoax but thats just what I heard so I figured I'd mention it. It is a believable story though. Except maybe the boat part.
I have to correct myself. The robbery took place in PA, not NJ. My uncle was visiting relatives in Philly when it happened.
