Ferrari Factory Tour

Hi All,

My wife surprised me with a two week trip to Italy & a Ferrari Factory Tour for my 50th B-Day.

Those who have gone, what should I expect (besides the obvious, I'm on Cloud 9)

I will be going Oct 2-16th.

yeah, you will see the pouring of molten steel etc into the form to make the engine all of that cool stuff )

 

While you are in Modena i strongly advise you to visit Lambourghini, Mazza and in particular Zonda. Also get ya self to San Marninos Ferrari museum Maranello Rosso. I took the tour 3 weeks ago. Stay at "The Planet Hotel" in Maranello directly across the street from the factory. And the Galleria (Ferrari's museum) is right around the corner. Have dinner at La Noce 15 minutes out of Maranello (the hotel's concierge can give you directions)

I stayed in the Planet, Franco is a great guy. You must have been there around the same time as myself. By the way i cant see any pictures in your link.
The problem i found with Maranello is that its just a comershal circus were the true meaning of ferrari is lost. The Gallerea is ok but to get the spirit of ferrari inone place then Maranello Rosso is ya place
And if you want to see a proper hand built quality car then ya must do Zonda.
Dam even Lambourghini is quality and the Masarati building/factory will blow you away. The ferrari factory looks so industrial compared to the others. I think ferrari could do more in Maranello to say that people from all over the world go there, its not what one would expect. You need to see evey thing else in Modena to know were i am comming from.
