    Greetings all -
First time caller - moooooo !

When I bought my dream car - '86 328 GTS, it didn't come perfect, but a pretty darn nice place to start.

I am looking to match the front fog lights - I have heard this search could be a long one.... does anyone know some shortcuts....

    Much appreciated !

They are VERY expensive to find - impossible to find new, used will set you back around $1000 each rumor has it...

    Congrats on the Ferrari!

    Enjoy her!!

pricey - So I have heard but all part of the ownership fun. Previous owner found one in France, but it was yellow. Hoping to find either or... good to have options.

don't think you get much snow in SC.....

Keep checking E-Bay as they pop up there from time to time. Also, check the usual Ferrari parts suppliers as they may have new ones (old stock but never used).

Sweet car by the way and congratulations!

    Hi Willie-congratulations on your 328.
Call Tony from Sqaudra Nuvolari (760-929-1266). His company maufactures the replacement lenses for Ferrari. This guy knows his stuff and is very responsive.
    Good luck .

NICE FIND ON LENSES! First time I have seen replacements... about time people start making replacements for the hard to find stuff!

I thought the big problem was seperating the lens from the housing. I believe Verrell could not find a way to melt/cut/dissolve the glue that holds the lenses on. Any idea how these repro lenses could be used if you may not be able to get the old one off?

I would get a new set in a second if I saw some info on how to replace just the lens. The orange part does screw on, but the larger glass clear lens is permanently (appears so) glued in.

Earlier this year I was informed that lascuderiarossa had them. Supposedly new. Don't know if NOS or reproductions. I recall they were about $1200 each, but not sure and have since deleted their e-mail. I'm not connected to the company and have no experience buying from them.

Tony told me he uses a solvent that desolves the factory adhesive with no harm to the housing. FWIW Verrell was eventually able to remove the lense without damage to the housing, but I believe he manually removed the adhesive.

Hey Captain .. your lamps .. at least the amber ones .. are European. On US models the whole small upper lens is amber while European ones have part amber and part clear like yours. Is your 328 Euro or has the small lens been replaced?

Ok, so less than 24 hours with the Chat, and the input is fantastic ! Thanks!

Just got back from the Blue Angels air show at the space center, so car a little dirty - pardon the mess.

here are my two sets of lights. The upper row - orange, clear, clear section is screwed on. The bottom section is glued on.

What I need is the light on the bottom - either clear or amber will should work to get them matched. The car is a Euro model imported 1/16/86.
The driver right - amber lamp - is a new one, replaced by previous owner - that he tracked down in France. He said is was a long search for him, but doesn't remember the vendor.
Just about the only item missing form the recpts / records on this car.

I'll give Tony a call as suggested by JV's89 - sorry about the Steelers - and check out the websites as well, and report back to the forum.

    thanks again !

Even the larger glass lower part? I have a spare old Euro one and it appears to be made the same as my US one. The upper half (plastic) is screwed on, but the lower half (glass) has no screws. My Euro (UK) one is a little different than the one pictured. It has the part clear/part orange upper half, but an all clear lower with no yellow section. It looks like his left (driver's side US), but my original ones have orange all the way across the top.

I guess after cleaning, some sort of adhesive would be needed to put in the new lenses. I wonder if Superperformace UK has any directions or advice? These seem like a good course of action. Verrell, if you are listening, how did you do it?

All the aussie 328s have clear glass on the lower row and I suspect the UK RH drive cars do too.

You're lucky, because I would have snuck over there and stolen them if they were screwed on...;)
