I'll get the 575 and put it away...it'll get built eventually. Those are going to be very nice models for 1/24 builders, Fujimi is top quality.

Are these curbside kits or do they come with full engine detail?

The Fujimi kits I have are fully detailed with engine, etc. I've got an "enthusiast series" Daytona and it's got close to 300 parts. My guess is that these will be the same kind of model.

Enthusiast kits are the only Fujimi kits that are so detailed. Most of Fujimi kits are curbside. Newest 550 & 575 kits will also be curbside.

For your 1.24th scale fans- Redline models will be shortly introducing a line of built 1.24th scale Ferrari models in the 150$ range. Quality will on par with Exoto and there will be a range of historic f1 , modern gt, and formula 1 cars

1/24 plastic assembly Ferraris I would like to see:

    --1950's Classics. Examples: 166MM coupe & spyder, 340 Mexico, 410 SA, 250TDF LWB Berlinetta, Boano/Ellena/Europa coupes.

--1960's. Examples: 250LM, 500 Superfast, Lusso, 250 GTE, 330 2+2 with 2 or 4HL versions optional in kit, 275 GTS, 330/365 GTC, 365 2+2 Queen Mother. I've slanted the 60's list toward Gran Turismo road cars because many of the great 60's sports and competition cars are already available as assembly models.

--1970's:365GTC/4, 365 GT4 2+2. Once again, many of the great 70's Ferraris are made as kits already.

All to have complete detail including engine, interior, suspension, etc., and be manufactured by a quality kit maker such as Tamiya or Italeri. No "curbside" crap.

I'm just dreaming: there isn't the market out there since 1/24 plastic builders tend to be younger and go for the newer cars or the big-name vintage cars, such as the 250GTO or Daytona. All the cars I listed are available as diecast, and most aren't too hard to find. I guess the model manufacturers figure us old guys are too worn out and would rather just buy readybuilts.
