ok...finally got a break from work and pulled codes from 1-4, and 5-8....the two code i got were

1212 which is LAMBDA REGULATION on both sides ( I have no idea what this means!)
1121 which is RPM SENSOR which I hear is very common...My tach works fine...
I cleared these codes out...Any suggestions on where to go from here?

I am 99% sure that the lambda regulation is equivalent to the oxygen sensor. I am basing this specifically on page C95 of the 348 Workshop manual, as well as my rudimentary understanding of how this generation of computer controlled fuel injection works.

Hopefully you will get ernie or fatbillybob to weigh in with better and more reliable information.

    Cheers

You should get 2 heavy gauge wires and ground the outside of both o2 sensors to the frame. The clear the codes.

Lambda sensors are the oxygen sensors. One on each catalytic converter.

Is it pretty easy to find a grounding point that is close to the sensor. Havent looked underneath there yet but just curious if you all followed the existing wiring or if there is another point to ground at. Is the frame of the o2 easy to distinguish, and last...how did you attach the wire to the frame? Im gonna knock out two birds with one stone i guess, pull the cats, ground the o2's and put on the tubi's. Also, how do you know the difference between the o2 sensor and the heat sensor? Do the heat sensors have the same grounding problem?

i am guessing the bigger connection that faces toward the top of the car is the o2 sensor? still trying to figure out how the bolts and those spring mechanisms all work

The case of the sensor is the ground. So, buy a couple of those metal ring fasteners that you tighten with a screw driver and fasten the wire to each with those. You then put the other ens anywhere you want on the frame....like at a bolt. Clear your codes after this and drive ir awhile to see if it returns.
