What is different between radio number 1 and radio number 2 besides the cosmetic differences. Does radio 1 and 2 both have navigation, or is that the difference between the two...

    thanks alot

I have radio #1 and do not have navigation as this is an option.

I'm told you can upgrade radio #1 to have navigation, but I just bought a Garmin for $299 which is likely better and certainly cheaper.

I have radio #1 in my brand new 2008 Spider. While the navigation isn't installed right now, it
is a simple insertion of a compact flash card to enable it. The bluetooth and ipod features already
    work.
On a different thread, has anyone upgraded their factory radio with something that maintains the
bluetooth and ipod support, and hopefully adds full screen (via pullout/flipup) navigation and maybe
satellite radio? The pullout/flipup screens may not work because the heating/cooling vents seem
to stick out too far directly above the radio.
    Thanks
    Mike

So, it seems a mixed bag.

Both years, 2007 and 2006 have both models of radio. Is one an upgrade from the other or did Ferrari just source from two manufacturers?

My car was brand new when I bought it, but it was spec'ed by someone else who gave it up upon delivery for the $$, so I didn't go through the ordering process.
