Has anyone ventured with this company? They make/ supply Stainless Steel bumpers for Dinos in all versions. Sounds good as no need to re-chrome, as I understand that in the USA it costs around $500 ea. to re-chrome. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200299651964&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:us
Yet another one, and for less $! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350156712062&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:MOTORS:1123
I was one year ago with the manufacturing company, which is located in UK but producing in Vietnam. They send me one set of rear bumpers for testing for our club and I kept them since then on my 246GT. The shape and the finish is very good and like original. Two minor problems: One is that you have to be more carefull than before with avoiding scratches due to the fact that stainless steel has a less harder surface than chrome. It is easy to get small scratches in but these are always possible to remove by polishing. The second issue is that you may have to modify the holders on the back before they fir to your car. I will buy the now available ones for the earlier front version too.
I received an extensive mail from the manufacturers which I shall forward when back home. They seem like honest and thorough poeople, and they try hard. On the plus side, they are less expensive than re-chroming. I was quoted $2000 for the four corners + rubber. Regards, Alberto
If this helps, here are some pictures from my car withn the new bumpers. Taken in august on the german oldtimer grand prix on the Nürburgring. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
