Easy there Johny boy help will come around. Look at the back of the plenum on your engine. The cable gets attached to the back of the connection shaft for the throttle body control arms. Theres is a groove that the cable can slip out of. If it has come out just slip it back in. You will see it just above the oil filter. You can open the throttle with one hand while you put the cable back in with the other. Then make sure that the adjustment screw is tighted enough to hold it in place. Don't over tighten it, just make sure there isn't very much play. The other thing you can do is look on the back of the accelerator to see if maybe it came loose there.

Throttle cable on the engine end looks like this. Cable must go through the slot on piece #17. Right above the oil filter.

The front end of the cable is attached to the pedal linkage under the center dash. Real easy to get to it. It's possible that it has come detached, or it's possible that the cable snapped inside the bowden tube.

Cables can be built from scratch or purchased from Ferrari. I believe I have also seen the 348 throttle cable for sale via Italian Car Parts.

Edit: Confirmed, 348 accel cable lists for $120 on ICP site. If it's snapped, you could always pull it out and make a little sleeve to solder it back together as a temporary fix.

ok guys, if it came loose from the pedal how do you access the cable from that point. my guess is the cable connects to the bottom of the pedal ?

To access the pedal end of the cable:

    1) Remove the two phillips screws on the shift lever gate.
    2) Pull the black panel around the shifter slightly back.
    3) Wiggle out the console panel that holds the heater controls and oil temp/fuel gauges. Careful, don't manhandle anything, they come right out.
    4) Look down under the center dash, just to the right of your gas pedal. The linkage attaches to the pedal, the cable attaches to the linkage. You can see the cable until it goes into the bowden tube.

It looks like this (real easy, took me less than 2 minutes).
