The first annual Stooge-a-thon annual fluids service rodeo and barbecue!!!

Yep, it's time for a summer party with cars. I need to replace fluids in my SS so I thought we could gather up the troops who want to do the same and make some quick work of it. Get your stuff together and chime in on dates. I figure I'll give you about 2-3 weeks to get your stuff.

    1. Oil filter kit from (who else?) RICAMBI!
    2. Oil from Pep Boys Mobil 1 15-50 synthetic OR your favorite (don't give me sheit about what I'm using - to each his own). BTW, I'm tired of paying $12 per liter for Redline. ;)
    3. Coolant from any BMW dealer - this stuff is great. Also pick up some distilled water from the grocery.
    4. Redline gear oil (75-90) and Ate Super Blue brake fluid from Turner Motorsports on-line - about the best pricing from a reputable dealer with about a 4 day shipping time.
    5. Optional - StopTech stainless steel brake lines off of eBay.
    6. Optional - stock air cleaner unless you have a reusable version (like me).

Check your owners manual for amounts. Let's see, 12 quarts oil, 2 liters brake fluid, 2 liters gear oil, 2 gallons coolant (including 50-50 mix), 2 pairs brake lines (under $180 with shipping).

So get on it! The Stooge garage will most likely be at Plugzit's or my place or FBB's if we need a lift.

I'll send oil change kits for free to the first 5 who sign-up for the event. All the kits will be sent directly to whomever is hosting the party, to save (myself!) on shipping costs.

    Vince = 1
    Next?

Get all 5, and we'll toss in a Hill Engineering OFT-02 oil filter tool. :)

OK Daniel Vince, I'm in! If you guys want to do it at my place fine but Vince has a pool to wash the oil off ourselves just like the Gulf of Mexico. Or we could do it at my house then BBQ at Vince's? July 15,16,17,18?

Yes ernie the mud is gone thanks to my hard working cousin and me. Thought I was going to die. Maybe 2-3 cu yds of mud. No lie. Fresh water, acid wash, sand blasted tiles, etc. Water is gorgeously silky.

Daniel, I already bought a kit from you, so thanks for the offer. Still, we prolly have some takers. That tool would be perfect though. :) I might just install the Porterfields I got from you 2 years back. ;)

W/E after the 4th and after is good for me. Too hot for the desert. Ernie's car is still running? I thought the cholo had it up on blocks in his front yard, right next to the bathtub Mary shrine and underneath last year's Xmas lights. :p

Hey goth, didn't you need an oil change too?

Oh, and gang, start saving your 1 gallon milk containers to store the discard oil so we can take it to AutoZone for recycling.

PM sent. Got all my stuff. So far I got 6 gallon milk jugs and some smaller ones. The 17th is a perfect date for me. Everyone agree?

Now where to do it. FBB has the lift which makes everything easier. Of course his driveway has compound slopes and is tougher than mine to traverse. ;) My house is fine for the event and/or the after party. Put a couple of chickens on the rotisserie for FBB and the rest of us can eat burgers or something. :p

I am open to whatever works best.

Rick if u need a place to crash for a night you are welcome at my place.

PS. Don't forget your tin hats.

Couple of chickens for FBB? How about a couple of pigs or cows? When FBB starts eatin', you better stand back unless you're wearin' a raincoat! BTW, I'll be glad to have it here if that's best.

Cool, thanks for the offer Vince. Depending on how things go (read: how much beer I consume), I may need to take you up on that.

    "tin hats"??

Ok, I've met FBB just the once but the mental picture you're drawing here just doesn't square with the man I met. Maybe it was a FBB imposter?? :D

That's quite possible. Was the guy you met as big around as he was tall? You know, he's the guy with the double-wide Ferrari.

LOL. That would explain all of the broken suspension pieces I noticed scattered around his office.
