I want to remove the front spoiler on my TR to do a little touch up. From the looks of it there are 4 screws (2 on each side). Is it that simple or are there hidden clips?

There is a bolt in the center accessable when the hood is open. The spoiler should be sheet-metal screwed or riveted to the aluminum "belly pan."

You don't have to take the four nuts completely off on the sides. Once all everything is loose, the air dam comes off straight forward.

Once repaired, a spray can of stone guard (coarse or heavy texture) does as good a job as any professional work I have seen. Follow with a good coat of semi-gloss black. You'll save hundreds of dollars doing this yourself.

    Regards-
    Steve

Has anyone devised a skidplate for these? I have seen them for 911's and there is a roller system the uses rollerblade wheels for a Diablo.

I had my front spoiler painted body color about 2 months ago. I haven't scraped it on the ground yet. That is a record for me. I wish there were a way to make the car raise itself two inches like the Enzo does. That would be better than skid plates or rollers.

Ok, so I am doing a little 'exploritory surgery' and removed the center bolt, the lower 6 screws and found that there are more securing pints for the spoiler? what else needs to be removed so I can take this thing off and fix it?

Christian, You only need to take off the center bolt, then the 2 bolts on each side in front of the front tire (one above the other by about 6"). Then drill out the 1 rivet on each side located about 12" from the back of the spoiler (on the underside) that is attaching it to the skid plate. Then the whole thing (fiberglass piece only) will slide forward (you will need a guy on each side). I had to hit mine on each side with a rubber mallet as it was kind of stuck in place. Turn your wheel to one direction to get a good swing at it. Good luck!!
