Luppi, but DinoParts has similar material. The new carpets came from Luppi too.

i have to ask, since nobody has, this is a dino that was a good dino from the start.

owned by a "REAL" dino guy and sold to an f-chatter. the price of the sale was at the top.

i never expected a "restoration" of this car.........

the car looks great....... what all did you do since buying the car?

Complete bare metal body and frame restoration with all technique and glasses out, new steering, new brakes, new zylinder head gaskets, lots of new panels, new dashboard, new carpets, new headlights (original Carello's), redone the sidemarkers, new tyres, original wheels, european speedometer. Car had an old accident left front and a problem with the targa top and the doors, if you know the car you know what I mean. We found the reason for these problems and managed it. Enclosed some more pics.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Of all the cars we have owned, my wife's favorite was the Dino 246GT we owned thirty+ years ago. Dino envy indeed. Ferrari's most beautiful production car.

    500TR,

That looks like the elusive original front license plate bracket. When you have time, can you take a close up? Is it just screwed to the front valance?

    Great looking car.

    Hi cinque,

the Vredesteins are great, I see no differences to the XWX except the lower price.

Absolutely beautiful Dino.. I was the orginal owner of 1972 246GT in 73. It was initially awful color however called Sand metallic, later chged to typical red. It was purchased from FAF in Tucker Georgia It had been on the Daytona track # times in the early 70's, which is no longer allowed per car clubs etc. With carbs synch. could do 140 mph off the high bank , but would tend to bottom exiting the bank . These numbers however were with cars speedo. Car had 43,000 miles when sold and driven almost daily in Fl. I never really got over selling the car even though it was replaced by a wonderful Ferrai , a 512BBi. I still have the Dinos pictures in my office with one of its 2 Mono steering wheels also hanging on the wall. Initial wheel fractured at the horizontal seams on one of the Daytona high bank fun days. Good luck with your car. I'm glad to see the Dino appreciated as not only a true Ferrari, but as one of the most beautiful ever made.
