:D well, for future reference i'm happy to look at any picture of lamborghini's, ferrari's, alfa 105's and fiat X1/9's... or anything with a Bertone badge on it (apart from a frickin holden astra  ). red is low on my list of favourite car colours, but better to see a red ferrari than a gun-metal hyundai. :p

My goodness....who would have thought that those cars could look so different to all the other ones in the world. There really IS something in the water in Perth. Maybe I should post a pic of my car...it's a (wait for it) red 355!

are you saying Aircon is an OHOS ?? :D

well both he and I are the same circa 1855 era so technically we are OHOS :D

Did Millard bring his "soopercar" to the outing or was he at the track preparing for later in the year ? :D

I'll need a photo to see where he's sticking the rocket motor....

    Dear friends in Perth,

I am heading out to Perth for a week or so at the end of April just to get a brerak from the heat at home....
Have not been back to Perth for a while, are there any ferrari shops or any good car model/F1 shops tha's worth a visit while i am there...

Drive a 355 at home and may need hunt for some F-parts while i am there as well, anyone has an idea where the main dealers are and whether if there are any shops/events worth a visit?

any information will be helpful, thanx

none of the blue 308 next to the 365? just occurred to me that you never see 308 (GTB/S) on the road in adelaide... everything else but not those.

how come you don't have your own website/gallery?

thats jmillard's car, and I didn't take any pics of it at the show since I have seen it on previous occasions. Here is another pic of it taken a while back :)

As for the website, I have considered it but haven't got the time to do it at the moment - and not sure if I want to spend the money on it right now.....but down the track I will definately do it :)

Thanks very much for the photos, Dingo. You've done a great job.

Prior to the event I was driving along the freeway and the Murcielago came along, en route to the venue. This was about 2km before the freeway exit. From behind it looks superb - really wide and low. Even from my lowish vantage point in 328 GTS. Beamy in the rear with a menacing shark-like shape. Sounded wonderful. Like a barely restrained beast.

I followed briefly and the Lambo driver - who I didn't see - let me pass. Soon after the freeway exit we were adjacent at the front row of some traffic signals. It was a glorious note as the Murcielago accelerated.

I really enjoyed seeing the cars on the day.

    cheers,

Thanks for the pics :) Can't help much with the time, but I can probably offer some free hosting to solve the money side of things.

won't cost diddly to practice on something amatuer, bit of time - yeah, but worth starting a portfolio. all your pics are already hosted, pretty simple to make some html pages of thumbnails for them which takes up bugger-all bandwidth somewhere, don't need to get into hardcore PHP/ASP gallery software for just your own stuff, headache keeping up with code and databases.

plently of online places to set up a free account to showcase stuff too. you studying photography or is it just a hobby? be great to be "the guy" people think of for taking photos of their italian exotic... :)

Thanks very much for the generous offer, its very kind of you :)
I haven't looked into it too much so I am not 100% sure of the procedure I need to follow to create and run a site. I assume I would need someone to design the site and then you would host it for me??
I have around 800-900 pictures so far (and its always increasing) and at around 350kb each we are looking at ~300MB just for that....so the traffic requirements would be quite high (obviously depending on how many people actually visit it).
Any info/advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated :)

    any suggestions of such places?

Its just a hobby at the moment, but it would be a great thing to do for a living. I would love to be 'the guy' people think of for taking pics of their cars but haven't received any offers yet...... :(

does this link werk? (careful, it's 1.5mb but sexy as hell  )
    http://gmail.google.com/gmail?view=att&disp=inline&attid=0.1&th=10335ecb76583b8b

i just sent it to myself in my gmail account, which has 2gig of free storage, but you already have your images hosted through imageshack or whatever. the html pages and thumbnails will be nothing by comparison, just time invested in purdying 'em up.

otherwise for hosted sites, just do some surfing and find a site that presents photographers portfolios the way YOU like it... i came across this one http://givemealook.com because of Lucas Scarfone's car pics: http://givemealook.com/ipw-web/gallery/Lucas-Scarfones-Album

probly best to find a photography forum (ask other photo guys here) and see wot they suggest.

    this looks interesting: http://www.flickr.com

just need a reputation for making stuff look good. ;)

yeah, my next gallery won't be a car one, soon the world can look forward to a public transport photo database with 15-20,000 pics of bus stops... think i'd rather count bolts.

Thanks for the links, I think I would prefer the hosted sites/galleries but they will have storage and bandwidth limits.....so I still think my best bet would be my own website :)
I'll have to work on that reputation....maybe if I get to Adelaide and take pics of mhh's Gallardo I will be on my way :D
