Absolutely great looking already! And Carsten, you certainly won't be dissapointed if you see Roel's Mondial in real life, it's a beauty! (the Mondial, not Roel, but that you know already )
I know, I know.............I said it several times before and I keep repeting myself.......STUNNING!!! That's why I post a "." Really speechless. Doesn't happen very often
Thanks Alexander and Roel I can see from the pics of Roel's Mondial that she is very beautiful and well kept, and I'm looking sooo much forward to see her in the flesh later this year !!!! Update 6 with close up's of the front...it takes a lot of lines!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And update 7....the frontspoiler starting to get some more shape, mirrors have been darkened, and the fog lights/blinkers have been mounted in the bumper!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
i was an art student for years... Aside from cutting school and spending all day at different museums in NYC, i don't think i've ever seen such perfection come from a single writing utensil onto a piece of paper... i'm just amazed at the accuracy - both technical and beautiful, all at the same time...!!! i'm very tempted to save some money and solicit you for a drawing of a black Enzo... You should be featured at the Louvre...
@Carbon, Ohhhh man, what shall I say.......thank you so much Carbon, I really appreciate your compliments...... but Louvre??? I have never studiet art, or learnt from anyone how to do these drawings....it was always there, and have developed to this "style" over the years! My grand dad made drawings in almost exactly the same style, and you would have problems distinguish his works from mine....however he was dead already at the time I was born, so it must be in my blood!!! And the accuracy.... hmmm, I wish I was able to be more accurate! I guess I try to do better for each new drawing, although I have not always succeeded in doing so!! I would be very honoured to do a drawing of a black Enzo for you Carbon! Best Carsten
Ohhh man.... you are really serious about that, aren't you??? Of course I look very, VERY much forward to do that too!!! I really can't wait to go to Holland!!!
Okay....here we go with update 8 and some close up's again!!! Tyres and wheels have got a little more shape now, and front spoiler and bumper are almost finished!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hard to believe, but yes, sometimes I am VERY serious!! Also working allready on another surprise for your visit overhere!!
Yes I know you can be serious....... what surprise????? I'm almost ready to go.....right now!!! On the other hand I'd better wait and finish the drawing and bring it to you! Update 9 will be posted tomorrow....too dark here now for taking pics
Carsten... i'm being very sincere when i say your work is some of the best i've ever seen... It's as real as Dali's and Escher's is SURreal... You're an amazing artist... Absolutely amazing... You always leave me in awe... One day, i hope... i'll let you know... Hopefully then you'll have time...
Thanks again Carbon, I'm very flattered!! Update 9... with close up of the side of the car, note the wiper! I post first the first pic from the beginning of this drawing to compare and to give you a better idea of what has happened to the drawing since then... I'm going to recommend you for the Nobel prize for automotive art! And if there isn't such a prize then there damned well should be
@Graham, Thanks my friend, I bow low in the dust! I think there are so many talented artists doing Ferraris, who would also have to be considered to be awarded such a price.....for every artist you'll find, each and everyone of them will be the best at making their works! Thanks anyway, I'm really flattered @Roel, .... !
Worked a little more on the Mondial, and here is update 10... After this, I think I will start to do the lenses in the lights and blinkers....It's one of the things I like the most to do on a drawing, and one that can really make or break a drawing ! Also I still need to do the interior as seen through the glass, and a little shades on the front hood!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Carsten... Can you post the original photograph that you're using to draw this car - if it's alright with Roel, of course... Also, can you tell us what media you're using to render this drawing...? Is it a Sharpie pen or a pencil...? Is it a combination of things...?
