Carsten, your drawings are fantastic!
@Carbon, Roel will be back on Monday, I'll ask him if it's okay to post the photo with the drawing!! I'm using only one pen for the whole drawing/rendering from the first to the last line and no pencil at all!!! The pen I'm using is called: DR pigment ink, Pilot Drawingpen, 01, and it's an ultra fineliner, or a drawing-tusch if you like! It will produce a line only one tenth of a millimetre fat/thick! I've always used these wonderful Pilot pens, although I started many years ago with the bigger sister "10" who produces one millimetre lines instead! As the years went past and I got more skilled, it really was way to thick or fat for the kind of details I liked to show in my drawings, and I started to use the 01! I've never ever used anything else since I'll make some pics of my Drawingpen and some lines, to show you what kind of tool she is!!
Hehe..... got the lenses made this evening, and if I can say so myself.....they are looking quite okay in fact I'm pretty proud of them!!!! Unfortunately it's a bit too dark to take photos here now, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see for yourself
Update 11 with close up's of the lenses in the lamps and blinkers... I'm still very satisfied with those myself Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So here is the finished Mondial drawing for my friend Roel.... I really hope you like it buddy!!! I've managed to make it about the same size as the Dino, so they should go pretty well together on your wall ......as a funny sidenote they have been made with exactly six months interval!!! The final result really looks amazing again! Roel's Mondial comes out perfectly on paper and I'm sure it will be looking great next to the Dino drawing you did earlier. Looking forward to more great drawings. I guess you're pretty busy and got lot's of orders by now?
Thanks Alexander, More drawings will definately be underway soon, and the next one probably already sometime this coming week!
Hi Carsten, Like it??? I LOVE IT!!! Again you managed to make a very realistic drawing of my Ferrari. I am really honoured you wanted to draw my car. I am really looking forward to see it hanging in the livingroom next to the Dino drawing. Have no more words.........just amazing!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Carbon, this is the picture Carsten used for the drawing. Think the drawing is much better then the picture!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Roel, Thanks! My pleasure buddy!!! I am very pleased to hear you love it,....... it looks much better in real, but I think I don't really need to tell you that!! Thanks for posting the photo! As you may see I left out some of the reflections which is on the photo! Best regards Carsten
@Roel, Since so many people ask me what I do when I make mistakes, I post here the first failed attempt to make your MOONDIAL!!! As you see I got the wheels a little wrong, and possibly also some of the technical details!!!! I really had to pull myself together and try again after this, and as you know I did a lot better in the second attempt Image Unavailable, Please Login
IMO the drawing is much better then the photo. To much reflections in the photo. Hope you can arrange it to come over to Holland in august/september. It's a honor to invite you and Tina to stay in our house. We'll try to show how beautifull our part of europe is.
I think we will be able to squeeze in a small trip to Holland arround that time and we are looking sooo much forward to that! Very kind of you to open up your home for us!!!
wow... that is very nicely done. You have some real good drawing skills there. Congratulations on a job well done. You have captured the lines of the car and those bricks in perfect perspective. Nicely done guy! F.
Wow, you amazed me once again! What happened to those drawing lessons you talked about? Keep it up (I know you will )
@Frank, Thanks Frank, It has become one of my personal favorites too, .......although I have quite a lot of favorites by now!!! @Stefan, Thanks Stefan, Fellow Dane! I'm affraid I don't really have the time to give lessons!!! And BTW, I never got drawing lessons myself, so I'm probably not a good teacher
