Sry to disappoint all the Tifosi...oh well...at least I still have the TR to get my high revving fix, albeit on the street! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's a blast! Only thing is, I keep missing 3rd and going into 5th...hardly a prob with 500tq, but different for sure. Speed shifting again is fun!
Well, seeing that it is Red & Tan, beer goggles will have you thinking it is the TR or other F-Car ;-) If you are looking to prep the Viper for track use I would suggest contacting Archer Brothers in Minn. (Tommy & Bobby)
thanks Leslie! I hope you two do get one, then I'll have some competition...LOL They are soooo much fun to drive. Maybe not an F40LM, but close enough for now.
That's good advice. I plan to check in with them at the first Viper Days event if not before. Have John tune my car, give me some suspension advice and upgrades. I need some track rubber too, so I will give his bro a call. Just have to figure out what wheels I want to put on it. I think I'll go with something menacing rather than showy and treat the Viper like a bastard stepson. Haha
18" Forgeline wheels are your best bet. 11" wide up front, 13" wide in the rear. You can run Michelin Pilot Sport Cups or shaved Kumho Ecsta V700 on those wheel sizes. Get the Kumhos if you are going to trailer your car to the track. Get the Sport Cups if you are going to drive to events. The Kumhos are stickier, but wear quicker and have no traction in the wet when shaved. The Sport Cups last much longer, don't need to be shaved, and have decent street and wet weather performance. Big brakes, Motons, and heads/cam will help you stop, turn, and go faster. I would also invest in a 3 quart accusump to keep things well oiled, particularly if you are using sticky tires. Jon B at www.partsrack.com is your best bet for Viper stuff.
LOL cute, you're a song writer! (i'm gonna have to introduce you to this real sensitive guy I know...jk)
Dang, that's the week before the VCA track event at Sebring. It will depend on whether I go to Sebring I guess. My neighbor and I were just making tentative plans for Sebring on Saturday. Maybe I just fly out and look at the nice cars. My wife loves the Bellagio. Is it booked full? Got a block of rooms? Jim
You can get in NOW, but dont wait... All the hotel room info and the booking person etc is on the website.. the registration for the event will be available shortly -a
I will check into it. Maybe the weather will cooperate and I can drive the car out there. Still have time to get to Sebring.
2000. 6K miles. One owner. Almost a shame to 'track car' it, but I decided to spend my time on upgrades rather than a lot of time sorting out a car.
The interior is Connolly leather, color called 'cognac.' It's pretty darned nice, but of course, no leather head liner or dash, etc. Not sure if I will stick with these seats, but they fit pretty well and might be ok. Track use will tell. Sry, can't post pix. Site snafu...shows me with limit on pix. I will try to get that sorted out. (Yes, I have paid to subscribe)
