Simon, it was great meeting you! Great to meet Dan, Bill, Nathan, Stephanie, Amanda, Greg. I hope I didn't forget anyone, I have trouble remembering names. Here are some pics: Bird poop on the McLaren F1: http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc020399yg.jpg http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc020402su.jpg More F1: http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc020378bo.jpg http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc019443ta.jpg F40: First one at Walgreens, NOT CVS. It's good to match faces to people on the forum. Simon, did you get to the airport in time? You left pretty late from the show!
Al, Thanks for all your help. You are an A class car guy! Jeff Ippoliti put on a phenominal show. If you missed it this year, mark your calanders... this one is not to be missed! As for the airport... we made it home by 5:30pm (I dove faster on the way home...) Amanda gave andrew a bath while i unpacked the wagon... she left to pick up our friends at 6:00 and called to say the plane had just landed at 6:50... fast day but all went well. Thanks again Al. I definitely owe you a ride... Simon
Here's a link to my album from today!! ENJOY! http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j153/StephanieS12271/Exotic%20Car%20Festival/
Not a problem at all. Thanks for letting me sit in the F40! Definitely one of the coolest things ever. I took a lot of pics of the FXX and Enzo so if any of you picture collectors want any, let me know and I'll post them up. I just realized the 911 GT1 that Don Wallace has didn't show up and neither did that ZZ Top 250 GTO custom Spider. Here's a link of all the McLaren F1 pics I took. I know...it's a bit excessive, but I'm a fan. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=559191
I belive all the supercars(EB-MC F1) roped off in 1st photo belong to a Sarasota Collector and those cars represent a small portion of his collection.
Yes, they all belong to Don Wallace from that area. I was told by one of his crew that they have about 15 cars. The rest are mostly older classic cars. He didn't bring his 911 GT1 today even though it was supposed to show up. He orginially ordered 5 Veyrons, but cancelled 3 orders. His second comes in May and the one he has right now (first US one) will be sold. His wife doesn't like it. He mainly drives his Phantom and Veyron. The other cars in his collection are pretty much only driven by the people that take care of them. His MC12 is also for sale, but they didn't know the price yet. The F1 was having battery problems, but they started it up for us. Sounded good, but the Carerra GTs sounded really awesome!
I posted a link to my album in the Florida section but I guess it won't hurt to x-post it here as well http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g233/irwin88/Celebration_Exotic_Car_Festival/
Who's Don Wallace? And Paul, were you talking about Petrik? I think he has all those cars (plus alot more, as you said. The last count I heard was around 40).
Celebrations is a judged show, using a slightly more liberal standard than FCA concourse guidelines. Fifty percent of the show is Ferraris, but most other makes are represented. This included 13 Deloreans(?), Lotus, Lamboghini, deTomaso, Acura, etc. Awards were silver , gold, and platinum of nice glass trophies on wood bases. Ferraris missing were Stradales, and F50's. Most everything else recent was represented, along with some beautiful classic Ferraris. The Lusso was driven the 200 miles to the show. Spectator admission is free, monies raised goes to the Make A Wish Foundation, plenty of great restaurants, beautiful setting around the lake (get a hint Palm Bach Concours!). Don Wallace lives around the Tampa area. He used to own all of Lazy Dayz RVs, but now only 10% of it. He also has a few other businesses one of which is metal work. He has started collecting his cars fairly recently I'd say and puts on this traveling show so people can see the cars that most don't. Gerd lives a little further South in Osprey, FL and has a collection similar. Both have 911 GT1s. Don's is silver and Gerd's is white. Both have CLK-GTR coupes. The only two road coupes I know of in the US. Don's has the side mirrors on the A-pillars because I think his was a semi-proto being chassis 01. Gerd's is the standard CLK-GTR with side mirrors on the fenders. Gerd has an F50, or two, but I don't know of any with Don. I have heard of Gerd getting an MC12, but I haven't seen any pics. Don has one. Don's entire collection is about 15 cars according to his crew while Gerd's is a little more than 20 according to his website.

Great pics, great turnout! That's a lot of car types we never see up here in Georgia! The most exotic thing I saw yesterday at Road Atlanta was a Jaguar XJ220......
