Here are some photo's and a little information about this past weekend's Lone Star Grand Prix. Many of you are not aware that the Corso Ferrari was entirely an FCA venue. These car corrals are offered only to manufactures such as Porshe, Audi, Chevrolet, etc. Ferrari (FNA) has never done one. This event was offered to us (FCA) through Risi Competion / Ferrari of Houston as the first non-manufacturer participant. Our VIP tent included, catored food, full stocked bar, 2 plasma screen TV's with live track feed, along with cool fans and a lot of other goodies. In contrast, the Porsche VIP tent had NOTHING but tables and chairs, not even a fan!! So much for the manufacturer $$$ making the event top notch!! Basically we had a 3 day party going on. As one other F Chatter noted the Ferrari tent was by far the best!! We had a total of 90 FCA members including the guests. We had a block of 105 tickets in the grand stands, and somewhere between 140 and 150 people in and out of our tent over the 3 days including "special guests". Some of our activities included parade laps on the track, driver talks with Mika Salo and Jamie Melo and IMSA official's talks. Some of the photo's are taken from the pits during qualifying and during the race. Tammy is actually working with the Rocketsports team as a special guest. Being in the pits during the race was a blast. A very special thanks goes out to Larry Hayes with IMSA and all of The Risi Comp and Ferrari of Houston Guys. We will be there again next year.

Great shots of the Houston Grand Prix!

The Le Mans cars were fantastic under the brakes in the dark. You can really see it in the Corvette photo, but the glow from the brakes really showed how hard the street course was on the cars.

Were you in proximity to Bourdais car when they had the problem with the jacks on the car?

    Cheers

    Michael
