targa florio shields? Are you talking about the bages on the side of the front wings? c/f is not my cup of tea to be honest- You can tell with the tanned interior im like my bold/strong colours but i dont wanna spec a car which will effect the resale so alot of c/f might be a must
well I would go with a more sporty interior, the black/yellow two layer fabric with a black exterior rather then leather... save the leather for the grand tourers but either was sounds like an amazing combo
Given the primary application of the Scuderia is a track car, I'm curious what size wheel/tire are fitted?
No, that is the F430 Challenge (track only). The 430 Scuderia is a road car (but also great fun to take on a track I'm sure), I would think the wheel/tires would be the same size as "regular" F430 coupes and spiders.
Will the challenge theme perspex sliding window be an option. I am very interested but need the racing feel. lol fantastic looking car. Not sure about the gold though!
The sliding window is not available as an option. Bear in mind the Scuderia is a street legal car and not a race car as the Challenge car.
Front are a different size. Tyres used on the 430 Scuderia will be Pirelli PZero Corsa, available ex Factory only, 235/35 front and 285/35 rear.
Because FerrariUK want to stop people ordering multiple cars at different dealers, so they are making sure who you are I think they are desperate to stop the dealers giving the first cars to either guys in their 50s (who will never use them) or dealers (like Romans, Tom H, William L etc), thats why they want more customer info
I can understand why Ferrari UK would to stop the cars going to dealers, but why would they care they if are sold to private owners who will never use them?
Well, maybe they prefer the car to be seen on the streets and tracks and not stored away in some garage.
I think it's more that Ferrari want to get a "new generation" of customers in their 30s who will get hooked into buying every new car for the next 30 years The risk for the company is that by constantly giving the cars to "older" customers (who will not be buying for much longer) the company risks pushing their potential long term customers in the direction of Lamborghini (or others) I certainly know a bunch of guys in London who can no longer be bothered with the Ferrari ordering BS so have gone to the competition Ferrari have got to learn that the economic boom wont last forever and that they better start improving their customer relations
Im very surprized that ferrari dont tie customers into there contracts i.e. not allowed to sell on your order
Now I see what you mean - probably not a bad strategy. I guess if you can sell all you make, you can afford to be choosy about who you sell to.
Some dealers are smart enough to realise that. In 2001 I was 27 and had my first transaction with a Ferrari dealer. I got a good deal plus early delivery, so I asked why. The dealer said that he would get the next 10-15 years business out of me. Having said that it is still the old boys network that are favoured for early delivery in the UK. That combined with the 'we dont need you' arrogance inherent across the dealer network is extremely short sighted.
I think the chances of getting a 430S with no record of previous Ferrari purchase = 0% {unless the stockmarket really crashes}
Only time will tell Doug, My 20k has been debited from my account, Been promised one for Summer 2008 (Late) September ish. Fingers crossed
Good luck, but as a word of warning there are at least 20 people (between here, CS and PH) who have been "promised" an early car With a total UK allocation of 160 (probably 60 in 2008) it doesn't take an expert to realise that a lot of people wont be getting them
This is where i get concerned,cos my dealer is very confident in getting me one cos i said to him numerous times, unless your 110% sure theres no point taking my money. But he was adament that i will be getting one next yr ready for the 58 reg plate. The dealer im using, only has 5 orders (so he says) im no 4 so im guessing what he is telling me does kinda work out, with regards to getting one in late summer. But im sure after the lanuch of the car, people will get a clearer idea of when the cars are going to be delivered.
