Radar Detector/Laser Shifter Install (Pics)

I installed a ZR3 Laser Shifter in my 308 today. Pretty cool gadget that actively interferes with laser speed equipment. Normally even with a good detector, once it goes off you are already in trouble. Some have suggested the sloping shape of the 308 may also be an aid, but I keep a front license plate on mine. Honestly I'm not really much of a speed demon, I just noticed that my prior car (STi) seemed to get "special treatment" and I wanted some defense.

Now that I feel a little less like I have a target painted on me, I really drove my 308 today. What a rewarding experience - I already loved it, but this was even better. It's amazing how communicative it is, how good it sounds and the way it handles pulling out and in corners. The best part is that feels fast. I was thinking to myself a few times that maybe I was getting a little too aggressive only to find I was doing, say 45 in a 40. Nice!

As an added bonus, even though it was over 100 today here in the sun, it did not overheat. Good times.
