VERY nice indeed!! Not too sure about the GTR writing on the car but still brilliant. And it's owned by the drumer from Pink Floyd, Nick Mason. Can this guy get any better? He owns several Ferrari's including an Enzo too.

The paint scheme/livery that this car wears is its original "Presentation Livery" that McLaren applied to the car when it was first introduced in 1996. The 1996 GTRs were significantly different under their skin than the 1995 versions, and this car (GTR #10R) was the first of them and served as McLaren's development GTR for that year.

It may not be to everyone's liking, but it does have some historical significance.

Interesting how he gets in from the right hand side...usually you enter and exit from the left so you avoid the gearshift lever. Must have been a bit uncomfortable trying to wriggle in while not touching any of the switches on the master panel, and trying not to catch any of the lines from the fire suppression system that sits on the floor there or spraining your foot on the canister itself, and also avoiding getting snagged by the gear lever!

Presumably it's because all of the video recording gear was set up on the left.

Also interesting how big the car looks in the last scene, with him inside. In reality it's a very compact car, although the dihedral doors, when opened, give it a huge presence.

Just lovely. Too bad they didn't show Mason's daughter as well--she's pretty hot, IIRC.

    Thanks for sharing!

I've seen numerous street legal GTR's in person and yes, it would be extremely difficult and awkward to get in from the right

Perhaps he is just walking to the RHS to close the open door (or by force of habit) and then walks around and gets in the LHS? Can't really say as it doesn't show him actually getting in :)

The more i think about it the more i think that it would be almost physically impossible to get in from the right hand side so thats probably what happened
