A little snow today. BobLove it!!!!
Thanks to everybody for the nice comments. Don't you come to Dilworthtowne sometimes? We start drives from there often. Bob
Hi guys I drove a 347 kilometre(215 mile)round trip in my 308 this weekend just gone and she didn't miss a beat. All at highway speeds with the roof off!!! Even she who thinks she must be obeyed and says I love the "Italian thing" more than her was impressed! And we both got sunburned.... God I love my 308!!!! 308 is a wonderfull timeless car. Yours is pretty nice. What reference of color is it ? I think I've never seen a 308 in that color before .
My wife says the same thing....... I comfort her by telling her that's rubbish! I love her just as much! LOL Bob.
Chas-3 and F328 GTS/GTB Chas is correct indeed! The colour is Azzuro Metallico(Ferrari Paint code 505/C) Not just hard to find in the U.S.A believe me! Here in Australia most 308 QV's are red,so common that in the Auto trade Rosso Corso is commonly known as "Resale Red"! I believe in the U.S.A the colour is known as Azzuro California?? Chas I'd like to see some pics of your car as I've never seen another 308 QV in the same colour only a 328! How about a post??? Cheers, Pete
Here is a side shot of "Baby Blue". Had the seats redone a few years back with blue piping and blue stiching. You have to see it in person . . . it is stunning! The paint sticker under the engine deck simply says "Azzuro", and I thought the paint code was 512/C. I'll have to confirm that code though. I have always loved the Azzuro color and it took me two years to find this car for sale. I've only found two others (so far) in the USA. Your car is gorgeous! My first 328 was Azzurro and the paint sticker simply said Azzurro Met. That is still my favorite car of all time.
Beautiful car Chas, simply stunning! Im curios about the colour. I can find no paint code 512/C in my 308 files! I understand Ferrari at the time appeared to have a practice of naming the same colours differently for different world markets! Having said that , respectfully ,I don't think your car is Azzuro though! I'm thinking either 503/C Blu Chiaro or 504/C Blu Sera? Cheers, Pete
According to the Glasurit web site (and the paint sticker on my Ferrari is a Glasurit sticker) Ferrari "AZZURRO" was paint code 500 from 1981 until 1989. My bad on the code 512 which is "BLU TOUR DE FRANCE" in 1993. "AZZURRO MET" is a lighter shade of blue than "AZZURRO". The car is having some work done on it at the moment but when I get a chance I'll snap a picture of the paint sticker and post it. Thanks for the compliment on the car. Here is another shot. Enjoy! AJS328, thanks for your compliment as well. They are beautiful cars, aren't they. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chas Checked my 308 files, Azzuro(Code FER500)was a Solid colour for 1980-1983 model years, not available 1984-1985,only Azzuro Metallico (code 505/C)which as you say is a lighter shade of blue(my car)! She is gorgeous,I hope you enjoy her as much as I love mine!!!! Cheers Pete
Looks awesome Pete! Great to hear you had a wonderful time with the wife. Hope you and the family have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks PAP. I thought when I bought "Big Red" (the 348ts) I would sell Baby Blue. Just can't bring myself to do it.
