The car collection will have open days in 2006. 7th to 11th of Feb 10 to 2. and 14 to 18 of feb 10 to 2. $10 to get in all door proceeds to leukaemia foundation. its at 749- 755 collins st CNR batman drive. Docklands. 288 GTO F-40. F-50 and Enzo. on display.

Well, it's getting close, so I thought it might be time to bump this thread up.

 

Just my luck. I'm in Melbourne for the Motor Show on Monday 13 and Fox is closed then. Damn!

So will Lindsay Fox keep showing off all his cars when he sells off his company to Patricks?

 

Will he get the roof of the Enzo repainted?

 

Is it the only two tone enzo.. I went and saw some of the cars tuesday, gee its good.and you can park inside. bonus..

 

I'm planning to go soon. What are some of the more memorable cars he has on display?

 

Ferraris: 288GTO, F40, F50, Enzo.

Porsches: 959, 911 and 356 Speedsters, 550A, various 356s.

Jaguar: XJ220, E-Types and XK120s

Mercedes-Benz: 300SL Gullwing and roadster, Pagodas,

I'm sure you get the picture...

Do you know if the two Porsche Spyders are on display, they were supposed to be down at the Island but were a no-show?

 

I'm almost positive the 550 will be, not sure about the RSK, haven't seen it around for a while.

a bit of trivia on fox's spyders. you'll never see the engine covers on both spyders off at the same time. fox has only 1 4 cam engine which lives in the 550.

Nice little bit of trivia. Did the Porsche museum cars do any runs at Mt Buller and were they all there?

 

I assume if they were going down they'd be there on Saturday?

I was down at the Island on Friday, no show, and at the collection on Saturday, it was still there. Could have gone Sunday, but I thought that you had to be there at least Sat and Sun if you were a participant. I have pics too, if anyone needs them.

 

Is the 4 cam original to either car?

 

Were they both there, or just the 550?

 

I was down at the Island all three days and they weren't there. Mind you they weren't the only notable absentees, kind of put a dampener on what was still an enjoyable time. Call it creative marketing or what you will but to me it is just misleading. If the organisers are going to advertise that these cars will be there then they should make sure that they will.

not 100% sure, but i thought it was from the 550 and the RSK is 4 cam less, but you would have to ask brian tanti to confirm
