    this is a top little browser-based management game that takes about 5 minutes a day to play. i used to play it a couple years ago but it disappeared, now it's back and it'd be great to murder some of you folk on the track. :p

    it doesn't take long to get the hang of, basically before each race (usually every couple of days) you'll get a time-window to do your practice and qualifying sessions. what you do is basically set your car up with a bunch of parameters about tyres and brakes and stuff, and tell your driver how agressive etc to be. then once everyone has done their business, you can watch a lap-by-lap text broadcast of the race... much more interesting than it sounds! very addictive... :cool:

    anyhoo, come along and join up, the game won't be started for a few days until there's enough players. first in best dressed, there are still two ferrari seats available......

    edit: well that practise session didnt go to plan haha and for some reason I lost 2laps...

    interesting concept. got down to a 1.33.811 in the first practise with a couple more laps to go. your right Ash, it is kinda addictive. be gentle with me Ding! :D

    no, you do your car setup (12 parameters from 0-100%) after seeing what the engineer has to say, then click TEST and it will do a lap. you can specify how aggressive you are at testing in how much data you want to collect. after each lap the engineer will have recommendations for certain parameters (like price is right :p ) and you modify them to suit, then test again.

    you get about 5 laps in testing to get your optimum setup. i did a couple really aggressive laps at the start, not worried about times, just to get data and get my setup close to 'spot on'. then the last lap i just went for safety and speed, and nailed it.

    after testing, you set up your car for qualifying... we'll get to that later...

    So do you have to analyse telemetry and make adjustments to spring rates, damper settings (fast & slow, bump & rebound), tyre pressures, camber, caster, toe, diff power, coast & preload, gear ratios, max RPM, no. of packers, tyre compound, pit stop strategy, anti rollbars, front and rear wing settings, ride height front and rear......errr my brain hurts.

    Yeah, one more. I started another comp and after practise and qualifying its a good 24hr Real Time wait till the race(get to do another 8laps of warmup) soo the quicker someone signs in the quicker we can get the season to start :)

    cmon boys, thought some of you's would love to test out your armchair racing skills. all you have to do is define the parameters of your car and driver and see how it goes.

    it's just like tipping, except you have a hand in the results.

    we're keen to get racing, but need another 1 or 2 drivers at least... pp, ff, stephens, 360C, thrawn... this stuff's right up your alley. :cool:
