    Repost, but it's still funny. That SLK is a total sleeper. I wonder how much it cost the guy to stuff the SLR engine into the SLK?

    about the cost of SLK55 engine I think It's much more than a cost of a body.

    You'd think for all that money spent they would form a hood scoop or sculpt the hood to not look like a hack job. I'm surprised that car can put the HP down to the ground...seems fishy (the 'race', not the car).

    they say the completed car costs 1/4 the cost of an SLR. Figure on average an SLR costs 450K. A stock SLK55 costs 60k so about another 60k to install the whole unit. Not to bad, but Im still in love with the Enzo, even if a turboed 1500hp Bettle can beat it. :) Matt

    Well one of the cars he owns is a CLK-GTR, so one would suspect he has some close ties to AMG. Since those guys are basically hotrodders with German last names they are more than happy to help him with these projects I bet.

    I remember reading somewhere he helped with the development of the CLK GTR (or maybe CLK GTR SS.. that I think he owns too).

    These cars are owned by Mohamed Bin Sulayem he use to be a rally driver. He also owns other exotics, Enzo, F50, F40, Porsche GT1 among others.
