PLS RSVP -Saturday, May 27 FCA DFW Fine Dining #9

Greetings!

You are invited to attend the upcoming FCA/DFW Fine Dining event on May 27, 2006. Details are as follows:

Rafain is a new restaurant similar in format to the Brazilian steakhouse (Boi No Braza) we ate at last year for Fine Dining - we had a record turnout!

Dinner includes:

SALAD BUFFET: Approximately 48 items, from cheeses, olives and vegetables to green and other salads. Seven hot dishes such as: salmon, codfish, large shrimp, sautéed vegetables, rice and beans. Mashed potatoes and fried bananas are also served with the meats.

MEATS: Sixteen cuts of meat make up the “rodizio” service, where Gauchos – Brazilian cowboys – continuously circulate and serve at the table to the guest’s satisfaction. Some of the delicious cuts are filet mignon, the Brazilian specialty “picanha” (top sirloin), flank steak, beef ribs, rack and leg of lamb, sausage, and chicken breast. We also serve pork loin and pork ribs.

DESSERT BUFFET: A variety of over twenty delicious homemade desserts complement our service: from cakes, pies, fresh fruit compotes, Brazilian flan, mousses and ice cream.

They feature a full Bar and an extensive wine list with wines from various regions of the world.

Our price for this event is $41.90 for everything (not including taxes and 20% gratuity). Drinks are extra.

Actually this topic has been in discussion several times....I plan on scheduling one of the 5/6 dinners each year towards the Ft. Worth area/mid-cities. Fo course, the dinners in Dallas also range from the Far North to the South.

The next dinner is planned to be located towards the west. Feel free to pm directly with the rest of your suggestions. Tillman will be cleaning up this thread and starting over to make sure everyone is clear of the date, attendees, etc. for this fine dining event since it got changed, discussed at the first friday lunch to change back, etc.

 

Even if you don't have your car, please join us! Car ownership is not a pre-requisite for this event. Good food and fun are.

 

However, you might get some "therapy" spins around the block in order to help you hold out until yours arrives.

 

The parking is so good that I'll even let you have TWO parking spaces!
The parking lot is huge - so huge that I didn't even need to reserve parking for us. We will all be able to park together.
