I went for the same meeting last year, as a new GT series had started. This year, the series has grown further, with last years winner in a Porsche seeing the light and defecting to Ferrari, and also a professional team entry from italy, who proved to be untouchable. Further to this, there were several other Ferrari entries, all up, I counted 9 running, and 4 in the paddock with problems (about the normal ratio!) I went to babysit my two engines built over Xmas, and also to check out the teams new staff and set up. All was well. The only problem was the damn girls getting in all the photo's... and the supermodel pageant queuing outside our pit blocked out the light....... Looks like a heap of fun, Phil. When I think of all the smiles from grown men just at the regular trackday here in Perth, I image China would be ten times the fun. Looks like a major event. Any more photos to share? regards, Pete
And those guys can fit in the cars a damn site easier than me! Are you tempted to go there full time?

most satisfying was the teams reliability D). But we had a bit of box and ring trouble...... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
and for our club day users... the series runs on control tyres.... Hoosier R6. Two Amerrycan support guys were on hand, and I gathered some really interesting and useful data and contacts about these "tie oors". Heres the 360 Stradale road/race car, running with 18" 360C wheels over it's carbon brakes (using 15mm spacers for caliper clearance)..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
You saw big Tom in Perth didn't you...? A 360C is ideal for larger builds. Tempted... no, not really. I can't bear inefficiency, and with labour so cheap there, the wasted manpower drives me nuts. At breakfast in the hotel, there were 3 or 4 staff to every guest. You could barely put down an empty cup without it being whisked away, and there's even guys to help you through...... the revolving door..... But hey... these things band new are cheaper than a good steak and glass of wine here.... Image Unavailable, Please Login

me and the boys in a string vest.... Freddie and Pierre were with the busy and successful Formula Renault team before being poached for the Ferrari team. The guys driving this weekend were also driving their FR's... they did over 150 laps..... more than double a GP distance. Yes; but there is not much to see looking through the windscreen in the showroom is there? Some strange cars and modifications in that series. How come there are no factory GT cars? I know where there are a few for sale
So take it out..... Not allowed. Only road based cars. 360C only just scrapes in, and no slick tyres used anyway.... yet
G'Day, the Hooters without HOOTERS? mate, much better places to hang out and enjoying a beer...... regards, seeya, DILLIGAF
