Hi folks. I'm new here, but a well established member of 4 Alfa Romeo sites (moderator on two of them) and I've been organising a monthly get together for Alfas for over a year now. A decision was made last month to expand the meet from Alfas to any Italian car, and such the Italian Car Night was launched! Feel free to save the attached flyer, post it around ANY other Italian car forums where you've not seen it, help spread the word about the night. Steve, is this a typo "*******meet"? Or are you being unkind about some of the guests at a charity event? I know a lot of owners are involved in using their cars to bring a little joy to others less fortunate than themselves, such as "Make-A-Wish" giving rides to terminally ill children, the Birmingham Childrens Hospital "Ride-in-a-Ferrari-Day, the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Day and many other worthy causes! I doubt that these generous people give up their time to have their good deeds demeaned by the use of such language!!! I'm not a particularly "PC" type of person, but I find it MOST objectionable that you refer to any form of handicap in such a way! And although we've never met, I was told you are one of those "do anything for anyone types", well obviously only so that you can laugh at them!!! I thought you were better than that!

I'm disgusted, I know there's always a bit of banter on forums but this seriously crossing the line. The worst bit is that the coward responsible hasn't even owned up. Well somebody has changed it can the mods or [rob lay] not see who has done this from the control room as i have my thoghts to who has done this even bobda noticed it was changed who has nothing to do with fcars or me and andrewg he just posted about a meet i posted that fcars lot might turn up and it was changed to RETARDS ps if you want my opinion on this i would bet my life it was ANDREWG
33 years ago i had a cousin who was mentally retarded from birth, her name was joanne. She was the first daughter of my aunty barbabra. Sadly Joanne died at the age of five and i never met her. Following Joannes death my aunty suffered severe depression and had never been well since. I am offended by these comments whoever wrote them. I sincerely hope it was not a moderator.
Sorry to disappoint but this wasn't me, the offending word has been removed, If you spot a thread or post you don't like the tone of or it offends you click on the exclamation mark to the top right of the post and it will notify ALL that sections mods to the problem All refferences to the offending word have now been removed and the thread closed until we can work out from the log files whether or not the original post was altered
