    Hello,

I know that every Swiss banker or ambassador or rich business man choose a black Mercedes-Benz S600 for going to business meetings.

How about driving a white Testarossa instead of a black S600? It may look equally serious? Of course, wearing a business suit and tie..

I don't have money for both of them so I plan to buy a white Testarossa and I have to visit some private investors for some business meetings (in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia), that's why I ask your opinion.

    Thanks!
    Andy

White TR is a bit far fetched to go to Business meetings , esp if you are going to see investors.

And it will prob be a Pain in the ass to park in scandinavian streets or other eastern europes countries .

Unless the culture in Eastern Europe is significantly different than the USA you would be advised to keep the TR for weekend getaways. My .02 cents worth anyway.

It also depends on what business you are getting into . If you want to open a nightclub , a restaurant etc why not ..

If you're holding the meeting in the car, go for a Caddy or Roller limo.

Otherwise drive what'll get you there.

Ya, I'll go with Al on this one. If you can only have one car or the other you should probably go for the MB for meeting with investors.

With the MB the investors will see a professional man with refined taste who enjoys a top end automobile.

With the TR they will see a playboy who throws his money away on fancy sportscars.

Ferraris are toys. They are made for pleasure not for business.

I agree, a white testarossa is nothing you bring to impress potential business costumers with. It should be black on black, I would go with a SL55, or a SLK 55 as a business car.

An SLK55? I don't know about business car for an SLK55, seems more like a toy too. The SL55 would be good though.

And I agree, buy the TR and rent the Benz, or Lincoln, or Cadillac.

    IMO you should choose an S Class / 7 series / A8 / XJ8

In a business environment, you should be prepared to take the clients / customers to lunch or to a 2nd site AND be able to drive.

IMO, any 2 seater is not your best choice.

Lease the S class and Buy the Testarossa...win win and you have a sensible luxury car to go to your meetings when its long distance and the Trossa when you know the investors and their reasonably local

for buisness purposes i'd say lease a audi a8l. low key, luxery beyond compare. quattro is great for snow. it just screams striaght laced for some reason, but is an absolute joy to drive. but lease do not buy that car, deprecaition is awfull. or buy an '04 for cheap.

For buisness purposes I think the best thing to do is lease an Audi A8L or a BMW 760Li. Sorry biy I don't like new MB (to Chryslerish for me also cheap poor quality interiors)

i agree the white testarossa does look fairly classy but not business meeting classy.
personally i would go with a mid 70s black mercedes and restore it to original (or better) quality.
    i find that very classy.
    but thats just my oppinion.

Are you holding your meetings in the parking lot? If not, who cares what you drive. You will probably try to impress them and fail, and that won't be good. Impress with performance, yours not Ferrari's.

    Just my 2 cents.

How about a Maserati Quattroporte? Best of both worlds. Or the rumored four-door Aston Martin.

Dear friends, thank you all of you for the good advices.

Usually I don’t preffer to rent a luxury car – for example if I rent for 30 days an S600, with this money I could buy my own S600 made in 2003.

For business meetings I will use the S600 – 2003 model, the very “Germanish” one.

When I would want to go on holiday and in the week-end time I will choose the white Testarossa.

…and for daily use I will drive a black Audi S8 (360HP) made in 2001 with Davin spinning wheels.

Of course I have to make a loan to afford all of these gorgeous cars, but I think I will succeed in a way or another.

    Best wishes,
    Andy

I know that high level management and diplomats have their own drivers, so I don't think that "what do I drive today??" is really an issue for them.

Completely irrelevant!!! If at that level of business-deal-makings you're debating how to look and how to come across, then I'm asking myself some serious questions. These are issues that are already dealt with when you're a junior teller, or at the very least, when you're a novice banker. You should be more worried about strategies on how to market your idea or investment proposal.
Make sure your Euro-Rail Pass is paid up, because that thing is going to dissappear the minute you cross the iron curtain.

Sorry folks, but I've been in banking and corporate financing for all of my professional life...and this picture has more holes in it than Swiss cheese (yes, pardon the pun). ;)

If this is your main reason for purchasing a Ferrari, buy the S600.

    Couldn't agree with you more.

Oh and "spinnaz" on the S8? Are you serious?
