Last weekend, as I was coming home from Canada, I went to put up the antenna to listen to the traffic reports.

As usual, I look in the mirror to make sure it goes up all right. Much to my dismay, the antenna went up about 12" and then just flopped over. After stopping, I found that the outside nut and fairing had evidently come off. The nut is what holds down the bottom of the antenna sections so they slide out as the nylon center pushes up. Without the nut, the collapsed sections just rose up and fell over, being held on by the nylon center.

I'm hoping that someone has had to replace their antenna due to a bad motor or bent tubes and happens to still have the parts that fit on the outside of the car. I hate to replace the whole antenna just for a couple of parts.

If you do, please PM me so we can work out a deal.

    Regards, Kerry

PS, I don't know if it matters, but my car is a '78 GTS and the antenna is the original one.

My old 78 did the same thing. I had to replace the whole unit. That was back in 2003 so maybe someone can get the parts. Issue is that it's not a Ferrari part, It's a german part that comes with the antenna. I forgot the name of the manufacture.

I had the same issue where I lost the nut from the factory Bosch unit. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to find just the top rubber washer and nut becasue the factory Bosch unit worked just fine, but was unsucessfull. I went ahead and bought a Harada MQ-1 ($20) which essentially dropped right in and am very happy with it. I kept the old Bosch unti just in case I do stumble upon the top parts.

I have a very simular problem, I bought the car with an aftermarket antenna which does not have the form fitting bushing and gasket that would keep the water out if I dared to drive the 308 in the rain.

Are the bushings available or do I buy a new antenna?
Where do I find one that fits inside the antenna cover?
I am guessing some fit better than others.

    Hi Kerry,

I couldn't figure out how to PM a picture so I posted it. This what I have left over from my Autovox original. They are a little crusty but should clean up ok and you are welcome to them. Just PM me your address and I'll send them on. I too bought a Harada about 2 months ago and was happy with it.

I am in need of the parts pictured also. If I knew the parts can loosen up I would have thread locked the buggers on. I read about replacing it with the hirada antenna. My car has a 3/4 hole through fender. I have found antenna's that fit in the car but they need a 1" hole. Does the hirada fit in a 3/4" hole????????????
