Apparently it's rocket powered. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ferrari-dino308gt4_W0QQitemZ320001767817QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I saw that too. I had somebody tell me recently their Volvo C 70 Convertible was a "sports car" capable of 220 mph. Since he was a customer I resisted the urge to laugh. A C 70 might be capable of 220 if it was in the storage bay of the space shuttle.
Sounds like the type of guy who gets in a car and using his finely calibrated butt dyno, can tell you the RWHP of any car. In this case, his 75 carb 308 must have 500+. Damn and here I am lusting after a 512 TR with its measly 421.
Not to pick on the GT4, lord knows I'd love to own one, but in his desription he emphasizes the "unique curves and shape" I think this is the ONLY Ferrari that doesn't have "curves".
Maybe he meant that the speedo guage goes up to 180mph or maybe he meant going DOWN a long straight hill
Or maybe he just looked at the speedo and saw "180" at the end, so listed that as top speed. Meanwhile, the guy had only a 60% positive rating, has only 6 responses and is hiding the feedback comments. Not the kind of guy I'd ever deal with. Makes it all start to smell just a little bit fishy.
no kidding. i hadn't seen private feedback before, didn't know you could do that. HIGHLY suspicious to say the least!
Has to be a scam. The guy knows nothing about the car, just read his "description". He has probably never even seen a GT4 in person and stole these pics from someplace. Also, look at the Vin. Wrong number of digits. Birdman
the car looks pretty decent correct carpets in the trunk, with tool/jack bags in place correct steering wheel in good shape (neither of which are seen often on ebay gt4s) clean engine compartment looks like a Dino alloy wheel as the spare, though the plastic spare tire well has been cut away where the bonnet latches interior looks reasonably good as does the headliner, the carpet is loose at the driver wheel well non original seat belt latches - gotta love the child safety seat - I suspect family/financial pressures as the true reason he is selling, could turn out to be good buy for the right negotiator
