Hi All. As you know I have been modding my 360. Tastefully as well Here's the newest item I have made. Yellow or Red Gauge faces. These REPLACE the factory faces and take about 1.5-2 hours to install completely. Actually you can do it in 10-15 minutes once you have the gauge cluster out. I also did the needle refacing so they are red instead of white. The night time look is great as well. I have been contemplating offering them for sale to fchat members and would like some feedback as to pricing style etc. The whole set of three faces, including the tach, speedo and the 3 smaller gauges would run 495.00 for the set or the tach for 395.00, at least that's the thoughts. Of course the prancing horse is not available on the delivered units. They would also be available in red or the tach in Stradale style, red or yellow as below the first picture. Could I please have some feedback and interest? I have done several sets for local guys and they love them.. Thanks, Craig Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
For me personally, my vote is no. However, I'm also not going to put a big wing on my car, or fluorescent green lights that shin underneath it Other people, perhaps they don't have my same views. Very nice job on the faces however. They look very professionally done. What sort of material are they made from? How do they attach? Painting the needles, bold move! Ray
The tach in the lower image matches the Factory Stradale tach in red or yellow. Same as for the 430. Wanted to match the factory style exactly.. Made of lexan, just like factory.
Forgot one of your questions. Once you have the gauge cluster out you remove the factory faces and just drop them back in, same as factory. Save the factory faces for later Needles take some time though.
I didn't get the part about the prancing horse not being available. Do you mean the prancing horse on each of the faces? I see it in the pictures you posted. Can you please explain . . .
I am constantly amazed at the talents many members of this board have. These dial faces are very, very nice but, honestly, w/o the horse logo, they are not as exciting. I clearly understand the tradmark infringement issues, and I applaud your clear thinking on that.
looking good 4Yacht! glad that u aint afraid to mod. ppl who r hatin on u in this thread can kiss my @ss. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Send some my way... And get yourself a round trip ticket to come my way for "install".... They look great... I just don't trust myself doing the work...
I'm not "hatin" or afraid to modify my ferrari - I just think the yellow gauges look a bit cheesey. I don't particularly care for them on the 430 from Ferrari either, frankly. Either way, like I said before, that's just my personal opinion. Craig was asking for opinions, I gave mine.
Truly easy. The hard part is getting the dash out but once you know the "secret" if you will it go's smoothly. The actual face install is a piece of cake
Take a look at your faces. The only horse logo is in the tach itself. I just added the others. Though I could put any image if supplied by the end user
I would be interested in the CS style tach, but I would need the Cavalino. I have had my cluster out, so I have no intimidation there however, I am concerned how the new face is attached. Is it reversible? As far as the Cavalino, I think if you went into a public retail print ad you would have some concern, but members on this board shouldn't give you trouble, at least not anyone that would order these from you. Any special deal if I buy two tachs? BTW as I am sure you know, some people here don't like mods on there cars at all, and there opinions are as valid as anyone elses, after all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Huberts car is on my wallpaper, he has one of the most tastfully modded 360's out there, and anyone that hasn't seen it should look before deciding modded cars are not attractive.
Craig, I am not criticizing you. I am game for this. I think it's outstanding and I'm getting weak for it! Just saying that I love those horses, and quite honestly, your use of that horse may not be a trademark violation. If you used the Ferrari logo it would be. If in doubt, check with counsel in your area. I think you would be ok. I was recently reading how to remove the instrument panel for another intended purpose, and now you have peaked my interest! How long again to do this? Check on the usage of those horses, please. Please don't come back and say "Nay"!!!
Didn't realize that was you. So how about it? Two yellow tachs with the Cav? If Greg and Angelo both want one maybe three. I would be willing to help them both do the install at my house.
Colby, I don't care what anyone says. You are all right. Just for that nice offer I'll have to take back everything I said about you!!! Hot in Sacto, today? Oh, and Craig, we don't smoke in California! I just realized that if I drive to Sacto, that will put 200 miles round trip on my car! Can I do that?
Here's a horse/cav image I found. I can put any image you send me there, including your car name, baby's picture, dealer name or whatever. I all would need you to do is send me an image.
Could you pick a cool day when we can do this? How about December? I have enclosed an edited photo that was from Nasharty's collection from his beautiful 430. Here's what I'd like with the horse of course. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can't do them THAT custom, yet.. Just what I have above. The 1st image is of a 360 Strad style. Can do that. Each image takes QUITE a few hours to convert to the proper image etc.
what about this custom? If you guys are over there busy making custom dials, here's the one I would put on my car I know you can't see the numbers very well... but who cares! Ray Image Unavailable, Please Login
