I suggest you do a search on the forum, these kinds of questions have been asked a number of times (typically by new members) and are not greeted with much enthusiasm/seriousness. Just a heads up

 

Some of us live at home, rent free, mom does the laundry, Dad handles the chores, every penny goes to exotics, but we are very fussy. Why?

Chris- I suppose your query about ownership might have some relevance if the question had anything to do with the ownership and driving experience, but you have to admit, the question "How do you afford one of these cars" has to be right up there with "What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this" and " I won't ____ in your mouth." I own many cars!

This is my story.

It all started when I was 16 years old. I designed and developed a product that would or should I say, could revolutionize the world. After many trials and unfortunate events, 3 years waiting for the patent to clear. I was finally able to start selling my product.

It was a bright August day, Unusually cold for a day at the end of summer, my investors and I were getting together to discuss the Launch of this new product. They were investing close to 1 billion. So this was serious stuff.

Sadly on the way to this said meeting, I kept hearing this rattling coming from the back of the black, extended cab, 1984 Toyota 4 by 4 pick-up truck that I was in. I would hear it and turn down the radio, and think, it must be nothing so I would turn the radio up again and then the sound would come back and I would turn down the radio again. This went on for a few miles. Back and forth, radio up and down.

Then it happened. The rear end locked up on the highway at 70 miles an hour. We were thrown back and forth and finally came to a stop on the guardrail. Needless to say I didn't make my all important meeting so my investors thought I was a crazy and took their millions elsewhere.

That's when it came to me. I filed a lawsuit with Toyota and won $4 million bucks.

Thus, I can now afford any car I want.

 

I stayed in school (drug free)and graduated from Purdue (NOT near the top of my class B- average) hired above average workers who I treat well (great benefits such as health insurance, 401K, profit sharing and bonus checks when we have a good year), got established with rental housing and worked 16 hour days and everything just fell in place without forcing these life events. It took me 48 years of breathing on this earth before I bought my first exotic unlike some of the younger ones here on these boards.
BTW I do not work 16 hour days anymore as that would not leave time for waterskiing.
I am an owner.

LOL I have to agree. Though it seems that when ever this question is asked 90% of the guys giving the smart ass answer, can not afford a 308 let alone a 360 or a Lamborghini! They respond like they own, and have worked as hard as true owner has, just because they are memebrs of a Ferrari based web forum. I understand there are guys here that know alot about these cars and do not have one, driven or sat in one...and thats fine, but the question I assume was for owners, not dreamers still (not ment to be negotive)! When I say "car owner" I am refering to exoctic car ownership...

I hope no offence was taken...The question does get old, but I would once again assume, only to us that do or have owned!
