I dont know why this zonda cost 1.2mds, i know is a limited edition but... Here is the link: http://www.competition-llc.com/index-1.html
But you can get 2 Zonda F for the same price (roadster & coupé)......... which are better looking, can have 650hp, and road legal. OVERPRICED
Think of it this way....your buying a 1 of 1 Zonda racecar. It is definitly not overpriced. It is kind of like buying an F50 GT.
I saw the ad in Dupont Registry. It's not overpriced, but it's not worth it in my opinion. I would buy 3 or 4 other lesser cars (maybe one of them would be a normal Zonda).
The F50 GT merely resembles the F50. This Zonda looks exactly like a street version with a few vents added on top of the front fenders and plexi windows. Not even close to being worth what they're asking. Who cares if something is 1 of 1. That doesn't justify the price. Most of those limited run numbers are just for hype to increase value.
Every single zonda made are unique, they are all different, with differents mods. It doesnt justify such type of price.
Can`t agree more! What a stupid car it is! And to compare this hybrid "bastardo" with a Ferrari F50 which has an engine directly coming of the V12 F1-engines.....! I can only wonder! (btw., I don`t like the F50 at all!) A Zonda is a complete overstyled car with an interior design coming from a juke-box. OK, its build quality is very good and the engine....from Mercedes! In that price region only one thing is important: I M A G E - and with the Zonda, you need some "Gangsta" gold chain and rings......... Ah..baah!! Ciao! Walter
It looks pretty much like a Zonda F. Just a bunch of changed out pieces here and there. Nothing that differant. Id buy a Zonda F coupe and roadster for that.
I spent a few days with this car and its worth EVERY penny if you have the means. Take into account it's a FACTORY RACE CAR; think FXX to the Enzo. Did the FXX owners turn down the opportunity to buy one because they could've bought a regular Enzo, an F50 and F40 instead? Doubtful.
The FXX isn't that great of an idea either. You take it out and do testing for Ferrari? Sorry, I rather have a car like that where I don't have to take it to the Clienti program shows. I want something for the streets. If I wanted a race car, I'd get one with a race history and more likely a winning race history (i.e. McLaren F1 GTR, 911 GT1, CLK-GTR, CLK-LM, 917, 956, 962, etc).
Sorry- meant to upload a few pictures with my post.. (from the TV show) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car is significantly differant than any other factory car though as it's the ONLY racecar produced. Every other car (at least available to the consumers) have been street cars. When you refer to the other cars being 1 of 1, the only differences between cars are the trim (color, interior options, minor exterior options, etc)..
Not really. The F50 GT has way more technology than this club racer. This would be more a Zonda Challenge car for an aborted Challenge series.. The Zonda GR "could" be compared to an F50 GT , not this one. The pb with the price , is that if you want a Zonda race car like this one , you prob can go to Zonda and have one made as you wish. New race zonda with the latest developpements.
Does anybody know which races this car won or took part in? if it hasn't got a racing history doesnt that surely make it a track day special rather than a race car?
0 !!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you call this zonda a RACE CAR. It has a license plate, it never raced on official compétition... That is just a very well optionned Zonda C12S, as requested by his owner. I think that you, consuming American, are too much attracted by the futil side, marketing and mercantil of the thing. And your idea that this car is single and that it is worth this price is totally wrong IMO. The only Zonda C12S race car has been developped by the team Carsport America. http://www.autodrome-cannes.com/pagani_lemans_essaisqualif.htm
Don't mean to be blunt, but you're wrong. Whatever license plate you see is there to fill in the void in the bumper (and the AutoRox license plate was used as every car on the TV show had them). The car is NOT street legal. How many street cars do you know that have FULL roll cages from the factory? How many have a full racecar interior? There are no turn signals or bumpers that would comply with the US laws. Some SAT fun- Pagani Zonda: Ferrari Enzo as Pagani Monza: Ferrari FXX. Same car. Same idea. None race in a series. They're for the super wealthy, top clients. Rare. Stripped. Not street legal. Ridiculously expensive.
