Is there any performance, sound difference with Hyper Flow cats and a F355 with a Tubi exhaust, or stock exhaust set up please?

Your profile shows that you have previously owned both a 355 and a 360. I'm surprised you didn't try this combo when you owned the cars. It's worth it!

    Yes. Hyperflows improve throttle response.

Yes. Hyperflows will provide a bit of a sound improvement.

No Daniel just the Tubi exhaust and air filters on both the F355 and 360.

However I am buying a F355 F1 spider, we spoke last week and I bought the Euro lights and the scuff plates from you...

    My sincere apologies!

The question originally surprised me because there is such a Hyper Flow/Tubi following on Fchat.

Daniel I thake it that you sell both Tubi & Capristo systems...no?

I have always used tubi, but on reading many of the posts on the forum recently on Tubi Vs Capristo it seems like there is more of a favouring on the Capristo now and it looks like a number of tubi users have changed to Capristo....

Loved the sound of the tubi on the F355, however I did think that it was a bit of a drone at a constant 70-80 mph...on the highway.

Don't know if you have a personal preference on F355 exhaust systems...thx.

Actually, I sell neither Tubi (anymore) nor Capristo. Personally, I don't think they represent a good value for my core customer base, and we've switched to X-OST/Maranello (www.x-ost.com). Thus far, we have customers running the X-OST brand on 328, 348, 355, 360, 550, and 575. Sound is such a subjective thing, that it's hard to say which is "best". I will confide, having now been to Indy for the F1 race, anybody who says their Ferrari "sounds just like a screaming F1 car", is simply lying. There's nothing like the sound of an F1 car at 17K revs!

Now, having said that.... I really like the X-OST sound. Most who have heard it describe it as "rich" and "mellow" at idle, without any droning at highway speeds. At wide-open-throttle, it's just as rapturous as a Tubi, but without some of the screechy/raspy sound. In the end, it's very subjective. Some love Capristo, some love Tubi. For me, it's X-OST.

Not sure why the link does not work, but if you google x-ost you get http://www.x-ost.com/ which works.

I have had Hyper-Flows on my car for about a week, have not have much time to drive it yet (hope to this comming weekend) but it does sound "throatier" if that makes any sense--and is a little louder (not much--but noticeable). Overall very nice exhaust sound.

Throttle response definately better. And less concern over thos 11 year old ceramic units Ferrari put in the car catching fire!!
