Its a funny thread at the NSX chat site but it looks from the spelling that none of them made the big jump out of 8th grade.

Did it ever occur to you that some of the posts which contain spelling/grammar errors are from a member who speaks English as a second language? How pleasantly intolerant of you.

On that note, I really like your run-on sentence.

I must ask, did you actually go on the drive, witness these events or are you just starting a bit of fire and conflict with a crossposting?

In the NSX club, it appears the burden of introducing new guests to the group belongs to the guests.

Ted, Bill B, Alicia and I had a nice time on the drive to Mt. Baker yesterday. I'm a little surprised by a couple of the comments on the NSX forum. I personally didn't see any dangerous passes and didn't hear anything on the FRS radio about concerns. No one spoke with me or Ted (as far as I know) about any driving issues, either. As far as the socializing - we spoke with a number of folks at each stop and at lunch and found them all to be quite nice. I'm not sure why someone suggested we were not talking to others.

In any event, the drive was very nicely organized, the route was fun, the lunch stop at the ski lodge was spectacular (complete with a unexpected helicopter show) and the people were friendly. We're glad we went. I'd be favor of doing a joint FCA/NSX club event in the future.

I'd be curious to know if the NSX people would want to invite us again. When I was first approached about this, the NSX person was concerned about whether we would be doing crazy driving. I assured him that most were very good drivers and that the spirited driving was usually reserved for the very open road situations. The NSX person was questioning whether they wanted to include the Toyota 2000 folks becasue some of them tended to want to turn their drives into a road race which was not apprieciated by most of the NSX folks. Perception is reality in this case.

I wasn't there because I had honey dos and I knew I'd be full of driving in the next weekend. I hope the NSX folks understand that most of us are either at Monterey or were also making a similar trip this upcoming weekend on the drive to Kelowna. I'm sure another chance with just the NSX folks where the conflicts in schedule weren't so significant may produce a different more desireable result (more F-cars showing up - with a broader spectrum of driving enthusiasm and more or better perceived socializing encounters)

My first thought is to invite THEM for a friendlly drive with our club starting at exit 208 and heading east/north with Semiahmoo as a destination for lunch?. This will give them a clear picture of what WE do on our drives.

My second thought is, DO NOT MENTION MOCLIPS:p:p:p

One bad pass does not a bad driver make!! Unfortunately my worst pass ever was caught on tape during last years Walla Walla run. Won't tell you what kind of car it was either! Luckily it was edited out during production of the DVD (although everyone got to see it at the nightly "screening").

I'm thinkin' Ted may like the Black Menace name a little though ;)

so please excuse my language skill and gramma.

Actually I don't really know about the Black 550's wrong doing until I saw the post Zahntech afterwards. Dean (the organizer) had made it very clear that this is a cruise and though we probably won't driving within posted speed limit at all times, we will try to be as responsible as we can.

The Black 550 stopped at the road side, waving almost everyone by, and then passing people to the front, is, really, clueless. Did he think that it will make Dean open up more and drive faster??

Case in point, I did waved him by as he was passing the car behind me, he procced to kept going and apprecating the V12 power, with his speed he could cut in 2 more cars ahead of me. Instead he chose to pull back in the right direction (I believed it's 4 cars) in the last minute, scaring the oncoming traffic. With his speed+the oncoming car @55 mph, it's pretty closed and it could get very very ugly. Lets not forget if he did crash, we all will be on news. Sports car drivers killing innocent family on a nice Sunday. But then, no accident, so personally I don't care. But he totally showing his ignorance to the group and the organizer's intention.

Another thing is that the nsx owners are pretty diverse, so the concept of safe, speed and being responsible is quite different from everyone. In the past, we had some short group drives and unfortunately we had turned few owners away as they do not appreciated our "outlaw behavior". As a group, we can't afford to lose any more nsx owners who's interested to do things together.

Will, I was meant to come by and talked to you guys. But the fact that I was still sick and busy talking with others (ok and my dog) kept me from doing that. It's a very nice testarrosa / (or is it a TR) though.

I'm looking forward to meet you guys in the future events.

    Ferrand.

    Another BAD BOY!!

    OK I am not alone.......

Little know secret........TED is my OLDER Half Brother from a land far far away......

But this does go to show, its not the car "BUT THE DRIVER"

Ted, I will drive with you anywhere, anytime, anyway........I have more confidence in behind you, sometimes in front, than 90% of the other so called exotic car operators.

Yes I get to be on the wrong side of the post, whats new!!
