Improved Elite FXX

Nice job! Looks really nice.

I think I am going to have to pick up a red one to go with my TDF.

 

You know....I quickly scaned through the pic's and it wasnt untill the wheels shot I sort of went........wait a min....this is a model!

 

Yeah, first pix looked like a real car. Nice photography.

 

Wow when you make a person think that that's a real car then you're good!

 

It took me a minute to realize it was a model too.

Whoa, had this thread open, forgot, came back to it and without reading the title I thought the FXX was real for second when I saw the first 2 pics. Top work!

 

Let me present you my FXX - the wheels are not so well painted as on Maranello Guy's model, but I think every black wheels are better than the original. What do you think about the Stradale stripes?

Painting rings to red wasn't as difficult as I expected I pulled the wheels off the model and I took down the tires (I wasn't able to take off the front brake discs from the rims, so I didn't paint the holes in the discs). I painted the whole rims in black with a paintbrush and, after getting the colour dry, I carefully made the rings with the paintbrush too. That's all

 

FANTASTIC job!!! Did you just pull the sheels straight off or...?
