    Hello F-chatters,

Yesterday there was a pretty nice event on Spa Francorchamps for Ferrari roadcars. About 200 cars showed up (that was surprise for me) Near 5pm the circuit was almost empty.

I spent most of the time for my friends F40. I gave him a helping hand and he took me around the track for a few laps. The F40 is realy a mean beast when the gasspaddle goes to the floor. The F430's where just nowhere on the straight. (And that for a 24 year old V8 car)

As a few of you chatters know I took as alwasy pictures.
I wasnt to lazy and walked a few km's to take some shots in the Eau Rouge and the chicane after Eau Rouge. Because I was standing so close to track and had all the time it was a good lesson for me.

I was very tired after my 6am wake up, 2.30 hour ride, whole day circuit and doing a 2.30 hour ride back home. So my pictures will be online later on this day. ( on www.mccoy24.com ---> Image Gallery ---> Ferrari 20/9 SPA )
    I hope you enjoy it!

Tell us your story of the day :)
    Michaël

    Hello,

Was there also with my 512TR a drove several sessions of half an hour each. Beautiful. Also spend some laps as passenger in the same F40 and i can confirm, UNBELIEVABLE POWER !! Have videoclips just don't know how to put them online here because they're too big in size. Sorry!

Ok, uploading a 256MB film of about 15 minutes to google video right now. It's from the parking, paddock and race, you see beautiful cars incl. the F 40 and so on.
I also have an extremely beautiful 10 minutes film of some of my tracklaps including racing with 275 gtb's, a blue 355 crashed into the side with severe damage ahead of me, testarossa's, 456gt's, 328's and so on only one problem that i have made some (stupid) comments on this film that i don't want to put on google. If anybody could help me filtering my comments from the film i will upload it immediately for you all. It's really beautiful, going full throttle with my 512TR on the circuit amongst all the others. I love it !!!!!!!!! So if anybody can please help and i will share.

I was there with my F430, and must say it was a great day, SPA is always nice, but with some good weather and fine cars, it was special. I LOVE this track so mutch.

and I even met Michaël (Mc Coy24) for the first time, great guy !

I loved being on the track, that's when you feel what a Ferrari is all about.

would have loved a lap with the F40 ..... but I had some with the 599, GREAT CAR !! just stunning !

    Im wondering for the videos.
I just saw a blue 612 with grass on the frontspoiler and I saw a almost crash happen in the chicane after Eau Rouge (F430 & 348) and also a silver 512 almost went off.

Patriek, there were so much F430 that didnt put my eye on them.
But I have a few pictures of your car, and I shall email them.

Because my image tank is broken I didnt had the maximum settings on to save space on my memorycard, and I was playing all the time with my camerasettings to learn how to make good circuitpictures. So some photos can be unsharp.

Anyway great day, and good to see who Patriek is :)

Ok, first small clip which i put on for a trial is on video.google.nl
It's a 10 sec. clip accelerating with the 512TR. Search for: Ferrari 512TR.

The 15 min. clip of Spa Fr. 20 sept. 2006 is still uploading. Will inform when it's 'online'.

Don't know how to share the link unfortenately. You have to check on video.google.nl and search for Ferrari 512TR

The 15min. video of SPA is completely downloaded. Google is processing it right now. I think in about half an hour it is online! Search on video.google.nl for Spa 20 sept 2006. Enjoy!!!

I have never driven a 430 or F40 (both a work of art) but don't you think it is also depending a bit who's behind the wheel ?
Ok, the F40 is a bit lighter, but the 430 has a bit more hp, 490 vs 478.
They have according to my mags the same figure from 0-200km/h... 12sec. (And the F40 was launched 19 years ago :) )

But hey.... you've been there :)

sure it makes a diffrent whos behind the wheel, but even if the F40 owner wasnt pushing the F40 we passed by alot of cars. On the straight line the F40 was realy the quickest car (accept than the Enzo)

And his F40 isnt 19 years but 22 years old :)

    We're still in 2006 aren't we?
An F40 that is 22 years old?? Am i missing something?

But i do believe that an F40 has a massive acceleration thanks to those turbo's.
And you never know how much HP these F40's make, they can be easily tuned to produce 600 HP, so that would indeed leave an F430 standing :D :p

It's a dream of mine to take an F40 around Spa :) The feeling of those turbo's kicking in must be awesome!! :D
