Stephens/Scud money debate

Just a quick note to say I haven't disappeared. Just too busy at the moment with work commitments to get involved with a "he said-she said" online battle.

For clarification though.
I did not "sell" Scud a set of tyres, I organised for him to purchase them at wholesale cost through my account with the distributor back in January, as a favour.
Approximately 4 months later Roger asked me if I knew anyone who would buy them as he didn't have a use for them anymore.
I told him that I could probably find somebody.
In repsonse, he sent them down with his 360CS when it was sent to Zagames in melbourne to be sold.
At no stage did I, or had I, agreed to buy them off him.
I am not saying that there ws no mention of the tyres in the intervening period, just that I was too busy dealing with my own affairs to spend time making calls to sell his tyres, so I just fobbed him off.

Fast forward to two weeks ago. On the weekend of the 10th of September I called Scud totell him I was "in funds" and ready to deal on his CS, but as I was moving house, I would talk to him on Monday.
On Monday I emailed Scud a PDF copy bank statement showing bonafides to buy his car.
Scud responded by suggesting he needed to sell the tyres first to pay for an airfair to come down to Melbourne to "do a deal".
After tooing and frowing (actually Scud annoying the **** out of me),we finally did a deal on Tues 12th, where I agreed to buy them , principly because he was wasting too much of my time with his constant calls. The impression very much given to me by Scud was he was tight and it was all done under the premise of a favour. I agreed to pay him when I got back to the office, as I was at Race Brakes at the time of the agreement in the late afternoon. On Tues afternoon, I didn't get time to do anything and by Wed morning, I was in a meeting at Aust Post at 8:00am, but by 9:30 am I have 3 missed calls and 4 sms's. I sent Scud an email telling him that he was abusing a favour and was fed up with him now, but also confirming payments. My personal banking only allows a max of $1500 a day in transfers, so split up the payments accordingly and sent confirmation copies. Shortly thereafter, I was made aware of Scud's thread and did my nanna. After receiving calls from a few FChat members, I decided that I wasn't going to get drawn into a protracted he said she said argument and have been stewing over what to do since. I haven't gone into the thread because I have been warned that I am likely to get extremely agitated and start looking at issues such as legal action and waste time I can ill afford right now.
I am not going to discuss my personal affairs online, nor should I have to.
If Scud would like to tell a different version of events, I would remind him that I had someone with me when we had our last telephone conversation of the agreement, further there is email correspondence confirming as much.

 

well, that is from both parties now and as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not other than knowing and liking both parties, this can all be settled privately as it will only get ugly in a public domain and split the Aussie section so I would only like Roger and Stephen to reply to this thread and will delete any other posts unless those parties have DIRECT information

Thanks guys, I'm sure you who have been around for a while have seen these things degenerate into farces with people adding their 2c worth who have no direct involvement.

1: why didn't you give me the $$$ , my post began on the 8th of sept asking for the money but no names mentioned
2: on the 7th of sept , you txt'd me telling me you would email the receipt in the morning , it never came hence the thread started on the 8th
3: on the 11th you said you would process the funds to appear in my account , which is what i posted on my thread , $$$ never appeared wednesday
4:12th of sept , i posted that the $$$ were to be in my acount the next day , it never happened .
5: then told on the 13th sept being paid over 3 days
6: 15th sept , for someone who has the 5hits with me for no reason because up to this date , i hadn't named who it was , you gave me $750 , interesting
7:19th sept , no further funds in my account , why ??? . rang him , all lines are down at work , can't check , more BS
8: rang you late 19th , no answer , rang you 20th AM , no answer , then i posted who it was .

your own email says we did the deal on the 12th sept ( so many times i was told i was going to get paid ) . this is after i posted a thread on the 8th sept asking for the money , which you would of been told about immediatley , but not getting upset until much later

so from late august when you said you would pay me to the 20th of sept , you didn't because why ? i never posted your name until the 20th of sept . i asked for the $$$ at least 4 months after you got the tyres . pretty reasonable in my book , then I was annoying you ?????? , total BS . why not just send the tyres back once i started to ask for the $$$ ? . because you used / sold them on for profit in your pocket with no intention of sending me the $$$ . answer the questions i have asked . you really must think that most on here are dickheads to believe your BS . oh i forgot , one other excuse was you crashed your wifes M3 at sandown on a HSV day and couldn't pay me this month , what month , september ?????

I hate deleting all these posts but I did ask people to respect the fact this is between Rog and SS so please leave this to them and go fill up the other threads please, if not I'll delete the thread and any others that start.

This is not about power, it's about common decency , leave this to the people involved thanks, and even then I'm not happy about this being public

Roger, one more report of this and I will refer it to the mods forum for a banning , you are going to force my hand very shortly in deleting ALL the threads relating to this because of your continual flaunting on the fchat forum rules.

There is a lot of latitude in the Aussie forum but a lot less in the others, ask Goobs.

ok, just got back from a networkers conference and see the poll is for leaving it open so will leave this thread open to Scud and Stephens to sort this out as I did yesterday and will close down any other thread or post on the subject.

I have had a complaint from other mods re Scud posting in another section refering to the money thread, therefore the money thread will be closed and this one left open but will continue to delete anyone else's posts.

I will be asking RLay what he ultimately wants to happen but see limiting the combatants to one thread as an interim measure, we all know about this .

And please stop the badgering Rog, I could care less what you want me to do, I will do what the owner of the website wants and restrict the rubbish to a minimum until that decision has been reached,

 

easy to complain , hard to ignore . what about truth , justice and the yank way ?

Scud, the results of the poll showed that the majority said that the thread should be left open for you and SS to sort it out in public, which is what JM has done.

look, you want to call everything I do BS , I deleted the poll as it had served it's purpose and you got the thread left open, it was democratic and I did what the members wanted.

it was quite disappointing the reaction i got on this site on posting this in the 550 section . was just trying to help out , if you go to the 550 threads , you'll see others wanting info from the clown about stuff . thought i would advise them to be aware . all i got back was a back lash why i would post this there , wasting everyones time blah blah blah . some people just aren't grateful . the guys over at MBworld have been pretty good about it . i come in there not to talk about mercs , but to advise them what has happened and they were pretty cool about it . even a mod over at the M3 forum was cool with it too . was hoping for a better response from here , since i have paid 5 years worth of subscription and i think offering real advice on different issues
