    Our club got an invitation to get a close look at the 599 Fiorano: Ferrari is putting the new model through some kind of 20k mile journey and it will be on display in Racine, WI on Saturday, November 11.

    Obviously this is rather late in the year when the weather becomes unpredictable and many of us have their cars put away in storage. So I'd like to see a show of hands of who is interested in this. Of course you could drive to Racine in a regular car. We could visit the 599 and then have lunch or something.

    Please let me know on here so I can either accept or turn down our invitation.

    I'd LOVE to go. I'm not an FOC member, do I need to be? This is seriously 10 minutes away from my house.

    Thanks for that link. That's actually more info than I got. Looks pretty spectacular.

    So I'm hooked now. If the weather is fine I'll bring the Ferrari and worst case it'll be the trusty Toyota. :)

    I'll let them know that we're in.

    Mike, this is only a couple hours around noon. I'll get the details.

    Futureowner, no you don't have to be a club member. We'll "incorporate" you for the day. :)

    Where in Racine are they stopping? If they are interested in stoppin in Downtown Racine (20 minutes off 94), I may be able to get them more publicity. They redeveloped the downtown, and have a nice "Monument Square." I know the guy who does the regional news paper, and might be able to get him to write a story, etc. If there were several ferrari's, this would be a no brainer. Probably good publicity for FOC too..

    Let me know...

    As an aside. If you guys ever want to do a car show up here, I can get the whole Monument Squate area blocked off. There are tons of food places, and I would think a large crowd would come. Ferrari's are somewhat unique out here!

    If a non club member just happens to be in the area can we see the cars too? Aren't they stopping at a supplier facility (Case IHI?) in Racine?

    Actually I'd really like to see the Alfa 159s they supposedly will have.

    Yup, Case IHI is where the event will take place. So Bo, thanks for the offer, but all that has already been organized (but I will keep Racine town square in mind for the future, good idea).

    I'm still in the process of gathering all the data. Club membership isn't the issue, but: The invitation is really for Ferrari owners only, so I can't make any promises to non owners. Stay tuned.

    Sweet, thanks for the incorporation! I should have figured it'd be at Case, since they're owned by Fiat and the cars carried Case sponsorship at Indy.

    Since this is some kind of PR event for Case IHI, Fiat and Ferrari, it'd be ideal if we'd come with our Ferraris, but I told them that we can't make any promises given the weather. They understand that. But I'm still hoping for at least a dry day. :)

    Maybe we should caravan up together.

    Does anyone know which Case facility this will be at? I'm guessing the one on Hwy. 20 in Racine?

    Yes, thank you very much.

    So I'm glad to report a bit more now:

    Address is 7000 Durand Ave (highway 11 exit to Sturtevant) in Racine.

    Also make sure to be there between 10am and 11am as the Fioranos will leave around 11am again.

    And finally...drum roll...amongst the guests there will be even a real Ferrari 360 and 430 Challenge driver. How cool is that!
