Hello Ferrari Chat Members! My dad and I have acquired a 1978 308 GTS with 75,000 miles on it via a long and draw out story with too much history in it. The short version is that my summer project is to fix some of the issues with the car, play with it some, and get it ready to sell possibly. The car has 2 pressing concerns.

#1 The mirror on the right side of the car has no way to be attached. We have the mirror but we have no bracket. I have searched the forum and found some places for mirrors but no bracket. I am wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Below are photos of what mirror I have and what the holes in the door look like.

Sorry for the poor pictures it was rather dark at the time of taking them.

#2 When we picked up the car the windows would not roll up. This was ok because we had a trailer and we just haled it home that way. The car needs a good wash and detail and before I can do that the windows must be in proper working order. I have searched around on the forum and noticed that there seem to be lots of issues with the windows in the 308 series car. I looked at the fuse box and do not see any fuses that are clearly loose or blown. Could some one direct me to which fuse exactly I am looking at? Are there other suggestions to fix this problem easily. I am guessing its some type of electrical circuit issue because both windows do not work. Any help here is greatly appreciated.

    The fuses are number 8 (25A) R.H window, and number 9 (25A) L.H window.

i've never seen just the brackets for sale before. check ebay. i've seen the entire mirror on there quite often. you may be able to buy the whole thing cheaper than the bracket. check the tool kit. there may be an emergency window crank there. on the door forward of the armrest is a plug where it goes. check the archives for a thread on how to make your own.

Thanks for the suggestions about the windows. Does anyone know where I could even find a bracket. I am looking to just get the mirror on the car and cover up the holes.

Like previously mentioned, I've never seen just a bracket for sale. You'd be better off just buying a new set of mirrors for the car (<$100) and be done with it. Besides, 308 mirrors aren't supposed to be painted.
