    I own DINO 04220.

The Denny Shue's Register mentions that it took part to a:
    - "GALLIANO LIQUOR WORLD TOUR 1990"

Nobody knows until now what it was, but assuming it was an advertisement campaign, it might have been pictured in car magazines 1990. For example, a free journalist called Preston Lerner wrote a report which could be the one I look for in "Road& Tracks" from January 1990.

If anyone of you have archived such magazines, please have a look for me, it must be a:
    - YELLOW US-VERSION GTS WITH BLACK TOP AND CROMODORA WHEELS

If you find, I will very much enjoy to know which magazine (and article) or perhaps to have a copy.

    Thanks All

    Patrick

Patrick; I have a complete set of Road & Track magazines, so I will take a look for you. But if the event was a "World Tour 1990", it seems unlikely that it would be covered in a magazine from January 1990, which would have been printed in October or November 1989. Where did you find the listing for the article?

If it's in Road & Track, I'll find it for you.

There does not appear to be anything at all on this subject in R&T 1/1990.

I'll check other issues from this time period later today. It's too nice to stay inside right now!

Miltonian: I appreciate your efforts. You are right, 1/1990 is definitively too early for a report about a TOUR in the same year.

I found some Index of R&T by http://www.coltranet.com/zines/roadtrac.html.
The article by Preston Lerner is mentioned at http://www.dacorsa.net/1209.0.html.

Yesterday, European time, it was nice weather and a day to go for a drive. This morning, I consulted then once again the Denny Shue's Register. In its references at http://www.dinoregister.com/articles.php, we find for 1990:
    - ROAD & TRACK, SPECIAL SERIES ON FERRARI, SEPTEMBER 1990
    - and other magazines as well.

I guess, if something is reported about my car in 1990, it will be in one of these.

    Regards and enjoy your day

    Patrick;

The article "Mondial Red" by Preston Lerner in the Road & Track Special Ferrari Issue from 1990 makes no mention at all of the Galliano World Tour. The article is about driving a Mondial T Cabriolet in the California Wine Country.

The contents tables for the other three Special Ferrari Issues do not list anything about this event.

The 1990 yearly index for Road & Track does not list anything about this event.

I scanned all of the issues of R&T from January 1990 through June 1991 while I was watching TV last night, and came up empty.

    Sorry!

I don't remember any details about the Tour, but did see 3 Ferraris cruising around Palm Beach about that time bearing big Galliano World Tour decals. They were all fly yellow (at least one of them, a Mondial Cabrio as I vaguely recall, was poorly repainted to match the others), and one of the others was indeed a 246 GTS. Sorry I can't remember much else- I only paid attention because I had a 246 GTS at the time, and was probably the one to report the sighting to the late Denny Schue, who was an old friend.

At this point, it was a piece of fun to discover the history of the old tradition "GALLIANO LIQUER", overtaken 1990 by Remy-Martin / Remy-Cointreau and a spin-of to Bols, Netherland in 2005. Not a surprise, but I didn't find there any more archives of the TOUR.

    Miltonian:
I wish you didn't miss too much from the television that day. As Denny Shue mentioned the magazine in 1990, I wanted to have investigated it and I know now where to stop looking at. Thanks very much for your time.

    Ira:
It is great to know that DINO 04220 was in Palm Beach in 1990. Your answer will be part of the car documents up now. Thanks a lot for remembering so far back, I wish I could so well.

I made a follow up in the Florida thread now and placed a "Search"-call:

Remembering nice places in Florida 1972-1989, you might know something about 04220 or have friends there...it will for sure bring us a step further.

    Regards to All

AUTO TOY STORE placed an ad in the FML 1425 from January 1990:
    - "04220...Red/Tan...for sale"

04220 is a 1972 car. So, with your help, we know now that it was still Red/Tan for sale in February 1990.

The car was afterwords redone in Yellow, to take part then to the "GALLIANO WORLD TOUR 90" and be seen in Palm Beach probably during the summer 1990. This makes sense for a promoter of cocktails...Cheese.

Proven enough, these documents belong also to the history of my car.

    Thanks very much

How did "a [yellow] 246 GTS" become "DINO 04220"?

    ...I found two reports:

ITALIANS PUSH PROMOTION OF GALLIANO IN S. FLORIDA
    Sun Sentinel - Fort Lauderdale
Author: ELIZABETH ROBERTS, Advertising and Marketing
    Date: Oct 8, 1990
    Start Page: 14
    Section: WEEKLY BUSINESS

GALLIANO REPS PUSHING TONIC WITH LOCAL FOLKS
    The Palm Beach Post
    Author: THOM SMITH
    Date: November 6, 1990
    Page: 1D

The picture from the Sun-Sentinel for nearly $90, I will not buy and will further look for pictures of that event!
