    Hello all-

I grew up buying and selling classic cars (Jaguars, Ferraris, Triumphs etc), I even worked for Luxury Motors in Chicago for a short time. I'd really like to get into the classic car brokering business. Soooo, does anyone know of any good brokers in the Denver area? Ones that might be willing to hire someone would be even better! ;)

I'm just sick of being in the real estate industry and would really love to get back into what really thrills me.

    Thanks!

Rocky Mountain Eurosport and Paragon both shut down recently. Other than the obvious like the local Ferrari and Lambo dealer, i am not sure who else is out there that handles exotics/high end classics in the Denver area...

I'm going to take a wild, wild guess and say that their expenses were more than their revenues...

I knew about Paragon, drove by and saw there place. Rocky Mtn Eurosport though seemed to have a pretty good business. Well, I've never been there, but they were not concentrated just on exotics. They had Mercedes, Porsches, etc. European yes, but not exotics. Mercedes usually do really well considering the difference between trade-in (auction maybe lower?) and retail.

Bummer, that doesnt leave many options here in the Denver area.

Well, if you're talking about real classic cars, Classic Investments and Steven Bell have always had a good turn. I met Steven about 7 years about when I was still racing bikes and my usual training partner had bought a couple of 356's from him and introduced me to him. He's doing even bigger and better stuff now, it seems.

Classic investments looks straight up my alley. They seem to specialize in Jaguar E-types - one of my all time favorites!

I wonder if which of those dealers started first. I certainly did get them confused. My previous post was about EUROSPORT, as I've seen them advertise before on CL and Ebay, lots of cars, japanese, european, etc.

As far as AUTOSPORT and the problems, there was a very similar problem with Discount Motorcycle Tire up there in the north suburbs, closed thier doors really fast because the inventory appeared not to be paid for. The inventory was "confiscated" by someone, presumably the person who was owed money too, and it was originally reported as a crime and later retracted.

Something like 4 out of 5 new businesses fail, sad to see it when it happens. Dont know about Skip, but Matt at Paragon was super nice, but nice doesnt make money I guess. I think he needed a bit of a different business model.

Used car biz is a tough one and high end stuff tougher still. I thought about it once upon a time and decided I would be better off to keep doing what I'm doing. I think a chain of septic sucking services might be the way to go.

There is a place in Arvada called, I believe, Exotic Imports. They are located on W. 58th Ave just west of Ward Rd. (Arvada is a suburb west of Denver). If I find out more I'll let you know.

Yes, I was down there yesterday, very nice place, great selection and Russ was great. My sister in law walked out with a really nice twin turbo(15 minutes total). Will buy from Russ again.

The last time I talked to Matthew at Paragon Motors (sometime last spring), he told me that they would have to move out of the building where they had been, but he assured me that Paragon would be back.

Does anybody know anything about this? I don't know how to reach Matthew other than at the now-closed shop, and I haven't seen any news of Paragon re-opening in another location.

I hope they do. Paragon was great.

Unfortunately, it won’t be opening back up. It was a good place for sure.

Yeah, it was! I'm really sorry to hear this.

Please, tell us what you know - and how you know it. (Or, at least PM me so I know what Matthew's up to these days - and I can send him my condolences for his marvelous shop!)
