Lotus 2-Eleven

Just returned from the UK and went to Lotus to check out the new Lotus 2-Eleven track car. Talked to Nick Adams, program engineer on the car and saw the cars in production, etc.

My impression is thus:

This is the coolest, most fun car I have seen in 25 years! It is everything a performance car should be and the exact type of car that Lotus is famous for and the kind of car that Ferrari needs to look at making. It is super sexy looking, the performance is such that there is not another production car out there that can match it on a curvy B road. It is lightweight, no frills, and an absolute blast to drive. No Ferrari, Lambo, etc can match it for pure fun! An Enzo, Murcie, Carrerra GT, CCX, etc are all bloated, overweight, boats when compared to this vehicle. This thing is pure fun and evil all wrapped up in one.

 

it will not be street legal. It can be ordered in a differing color scheme (at extra cost) though most (all) delivered to the USA (30) will have the release paint scheme. The cost will be between 72k and 75k and can be ordered from any dealer, though the main dealer is Hunting Ridge Motors.

So look at it as a Ariel Atom/Radical type car. But a lot better looking!

 

I have one on order.... not sure if I am going to go for the all carbon bodywork or not.
