Some pics of a 512 a client of mine has...Well he just sold it for a 360. I couldn't take too good of pics becuase it was in the garage and I wasn't there to wash it this week. I had washed and waxed it the week before so its a little dirty. Nice to see turbos on a Ferrari.

This one was to take a pic of the turbos. I only worked on the car once before he sold it so I couldn't clean up the engine compartment or shine those pipes up. Oh well it was still nice to see and work on.

Also this is the only way I know how to post pics here so sorry about that.

This is the car in forza issue 37 that norwood built using a TR powertrain, mods etc totalling $75K over and above the cost of the car. 863HP - my kind of boxer! Wonder what it sold for?

Yeah I was just going to say I forgot to say the engine was a Testarossa. Do you have a link to the article? That would be pretty cool to see and read.

Sorry I dont but Ive read the article probably 100 times now and Ive been considering a mild version of that inspirational boxer, maybe twin turbos at 8psi on each bank for a little more kick in the pants. The rims were made by Boyd Coddington, as wide as possible without frame mods. This car is running 17.5psi boost and that 863HP figure is RWHP not flywheel - D'oh! 335/35 ZR17's in the rear, man do I need those wheels. Im drooling, I need a bib.

Rear upper hitch points were moved so we could get the rear camber right after lowering it and adding the big rubbers. It is not a difficult modification and you don't have to cut off any original material.

The wheels I could go for.

No pictures of the hitch point mod, but as I recall we just added a new stamped 'u' bracket to the existing bracket to move the point further out and then added enough gussets to make it strong - it was crude but effective. As far as the build goes - it was the same set-up we do today with the motor having JE pistons, copper headgaskets, and I think that motor had springs and ti retainers. The exhaust was modified TR headers to fit between the Boxer frame rails, and the rest of the exhaust we fabed. The innercoolers are air to water spearco's. It has Motec M-48 EFI and MSD ignition, you can see the boxes in your pictures. I think we ran around 18-20 psi on 93 for street and a mix w/ 106 when the owner wanted to get after it. Clutch was a Clutch-Master kevlar O.E. dual disk. Brakes where big Wilwood's. We ran a little tighter turbo than what we run on the TR's since it is a little lighter car, we never had any diff. problems but never have with any of the turbo cars. We did strip a second gear in it once and crack a transaxle case but I had put a fresh 512TR box in it with the small propeller shaft and the transaxle issues died off. The car looks like it has been cleaned up a lot since last in Dallas, the seats are different. Steve at RPM in Vermont was taking care of the car prior to it being sold at Keels and Wheels a few years ago. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share, I probably do in a box somewhere, but that was before we where using digital cameras. Glad to see the car looks very well cared for, it was a blast to drive.

Pretty interesting, not just an engine swap like a honda hahaha. Thanks for the little write up.
I just looked on Forza's website and I saw that you can by the issue where they had the car. I'll probably buy two, one for me and one for my client. Although he decided to sell it he might like to read about or just have a copy of it, if he doesn't already.
