    Anyone else noticed that the pacing car during the warm up lap at the rear of the pack seemed to be a 348. They just showed it for a few seconds, but it was pretty cool :)

    Anyone have more pics?

    I saw it too. I was really impressed that they used one. Were they also using the black series CLK? I couldn't tell.

    Saw it as well. Very cool..

    The lower valance was black so probably a straight up TS or TB.

    on the TV, the strakes were pretty visible, so I don't think it is a SS.

    No. The SS had body colored lower valence and no rear taillight grill. The picture is in Italy and the SS was a US/NA market only car.

    Nice picture. I did not catch that either.

    it was the usual Monza pacecar. a normal 348 TB - seen many times at the finali mondiali. last year they had a 599 GTB pacecar too, but the 348 is still there. i wonder how many laps it made around the monza track over all the years. i did never look for the s/n, because the car never left the track or the closed part of the pits. s/n anyone ?
