I have no interest in this car or the possible sale of it.

There is a 1980 400i black/black Series 1 that looks like it will be up for sale soon. 5-speed, 15" wheels not later series 2 TRX's, cable controls instead of series 2 solonoids, etc. New interior, exhaust, and a bunch of other work totalling over $20k.

I'm not at liberty to say much else at this point, nor am I trying to be vaque but you all know that a lot of these 5-speed cars are sold without an ad ever being run.
I wish I'd known about this car before I bought my series 2 car.
It won't be sold below the market price of a 5-speed which is mid 30's (a bit higher for a series 1 car) so don't bother if you're trying to get one on the cheap.

If you're seriously in the market then pm me. I'll be more than happy to give you contact info when it becomes official.

I should be able to give you all the contact info this week.
The owner is looking for $35 to $37k for this car. It is #30825 a 1980 black/black 5-speed. It has been in TX and CT most of its life. It is currently in a suburb of Houston.
I've eyeballed the car. Interior is virtually new. It hs been repainted and the paint job is average, not concours quality.
Quite a bit of service history with some pretty big $$ being spent on it in the past year.
These are just my opinions and your mileage may vary. I have no interest in this car and am just trying to help those searching for a series one 5-speed.
