Has anyone lowered their Countach with different springs or coilovers? If so, where did you get them? Pictures? I picked up a 5000S and it NEEDS to be lowered.

    Thanks

Sneaky? My wife thought so. T
It is an 84 carb car. I am going through it right now...some little things need to be taken care of but overall it is in very good condition, especially mechanically. When driving it you can certainly feel the increase in torque over my LP400S. It also has the same exhaust as my LP400S and sounds great. When they are side by side, you can really see the differences in the "high versus low" body cars. The LP400S roofline is 3.8" lower!

I will post some pics soon.

    Thanks

    Brian

    Hey Brian,

I lowered my 86' DD and while it looked good it did not drive good.

For one thing the rear goes to the end of the travel so there is little room for bumbs.

In order to lower the front to look like a lowbody the chin spoiler comes a lot lower to the ground and hits everything.

I used coil over adjustable front and back but had to crank them to the bottom.

Long story short... I thought they just raised the suspension on the later cars, I could not have been more wrong.

Lowbody and Highbody cars suspension are totally different.

Good luck in what ever you decide and get some good pics side by side before you change it.

    :)

I thought that this might be the case. I really appreciate you letting me know.
After looking at both suspensions closely, you can see the differences. The top mounting positions are totally different.
Now you have me thinking....and may have saved me some money!

It cost me $3,000 to find out that it did not work like I wanted.

I think it would be nice to have an "original" 5000S next to your lowbody to show how special they really are.

Brian, can you get a shot of the 2 Lambos side by side?

Do you have room in that shop for another car or do you have to get rid of the deuce and a half?
