Does anyone know of a reliable carrier (covered) for a run for my new 308 from Cleveland to Denver?

All I can say is do your homework.. I used goldrush for my 328 gts & they dented the targa area, (roof behind cockpit)..
Also used DAS..on 308 2v, and they did an "ok" job.. not door to door service, they had a terminal, droppped it off and then flat bed to my home. I would have preferred not having it loaded & unloaded so much..

I know therr are carriers based in Denver, go visit them, maybe able to "feel"...what they offer. Also maybe call... Dave Helms...and then FOD..see who they recommend..

Give Western a call @ 303-876-2197. They run to the mid-west all the time. Rates are good and the equipment is second to none.

I've done FedEx Passport three times to Ft. Collins. No problems whatsoever except they can be a little slow. Some of the well known outfits will not deliver to the Front Range - they told we are off their usual route for cars heading west. FedEx never off-loads the car until it comes to my door.

Western is the way to go. FedEx will never get my business again.

I recently needed a car moved from the east coast. Didn't want to wait for FedEx as they were busy. Tried Horseless Carriage. What a mistake. Very unprofessional outfit. Never again.

What was your bad experience with Fed Ex?

FWIW, Horseless Carriage is in my book a very professionally run outfit but expensive to use.

Horeseless Carriage (Useless Carriage) gave me a date (a one-week time window) and when they missed it they gave me a run around and would not commit to a new date ("we'll put it on our next truck, but we can't tell you when that will be") . I really got upset when they refused to let me talk to a manager ("sorry he's out and no we won't call him on his cell phone"). If you drop the ball with a customer the least you can do is be available to talk to him I wound up sending my own employee to trailer the car from the east coast. Should have stuck with Fed Ex. Never, ever again do I use Useless Carriage. I move about six cars a year by enclosed transport and have never had to deal with such a lack of service.

They lied to me numerous times. They told me they had a truck in my area and could pick the car up in 2 days. Well 10 days later they finally arrived and picked up the car. Then they told me the car would be delivered in 4 days. Well, 7 days later the car still wasn't delivered and they wouldn't tell me where the car was. After I told them I was going to call the police and file a stolen car report they finally tell me my car is sitting in their wherehouse in St. Louis. 3 weeks later the car finally was delivered.

I'll have to watch them. They are not supposed to offload the car from the truck except to rearrange the load. I'd be very unhappy to find our that my car sat in a warehouse. Guess all these guys lie. Maybe I'll try Western next time.

There is a smaller company that I've used a couple of times called DeMoise Trk-ing (www.demoise.com or 864.609.9390). It's a family operation with about three trucks (I think) and the both times I've used them, they greatly exceeded my expectations. The first time I used them I really interrogated them over the phone to make sure they know enough about the Ferrari and the F1 gearbox. They took the time to talk me thru the process they use, their rigs and thoroughly answered all of my questions. When they showed up to pick up my cars, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my Fcar was one the cheapest cars on the trailer and there were a couple on there worth well north of $500K in the trailer. I don't want to mislead you, they transport normal, everyday stuff too but the trailers that have carried my cars have been rolling museums. All in all, I would highly recommend them.
