Spring bar bq get together ?

I'm thinking about having a get together for the local Fchat member's at my house this coming spring and want to judge the enthusiasm for such an event. I was thinking after we meet at my house and eat lunch we could all take a cruise? Would anyone be interested in a nice relaxing lunch and cruise? Since I am a non-owner I will be hoping to persuade someone into letting me ride along with them as my 4Runner wont keep up LOL!

Steve it would be an honor to have you come down for the weekend. Dont worry I will take care of all the hospitality but you know I did think last night that I may have some parking issue's depending upon the number of people but we have several month's to go atleast. If not at my house it may be more feasible to have a lunch somewhere with alot of parking and I have one or two idea's for that scenario also.

Thank's Robert and I'm definitely gonna do it. I have put together a few event's in the past that required more than the simple invite I have offered here. It's only for an opportunity for a bunch of Fcar/Fchat nut's too hangout and BS.

I'll try to make concession's for my hometown hommie's Ro and your at the top of the list. Hey just incase the date does not align for you I'm fully insured and heck I'll even fill the tank up for you if I can use the Gallardo !!!????? Well it dont hurt to ask LOL!

I'll do my best Ro to work with your schedule as well as any other's who may have an issue with the date once one is pre-decided upon.

Glad you want to join us! I'm thinking of sometime in april since that's when we start getting those clear blue sky's with the temp's in the 70's which is perfect for cruising weather. I'll start an attendence list also in the near future.

I went there yesterday for the football game's and MAN O MAN what a place!! Better than Hooter's imo except for the wing's, since I like mine breaded, but they were still great, the fries ROCK. The women oh oh the women, you gotta see them for yourself!! Here is a link http://www.tiltedkilt.com/houston/houston.html They have probably close to 30 flat screen tv's throughout the place it was amazing because no matter where you sit there are atleast 2-3 tv's in your direct line of sight.

I think this is were I'm going to organize the Houston get together I've been talking about. They have load's of parking but I will get the front space's reserved for us.

So far what I'm thinking is I need to decide on a preliminary date and then adjust the date accordingly up until about 3 week's prior, adjusting for the weather and participant's schedule's and commitment's. Setting this up will mean for me a financial commitement to the place for our reserved parking in front, you know going in style lol, and getting a serious commitment from those who want to attend. Depending upon the number of committed participant's everything can be set up.

My plan is to take care of the reservation and an input to our food but not beverage's and hopefully get some contribution to our food tab. I will be meeeting with the 'event's' co-ordinator soon and discussing the parking and the food provided, cost etc etc.

It will be a great time and after getting our belly's full we can have an enjoyable, relaxing and fun cruise.

I will post detail's as soon as I know more but really the only thing I forsee as needing from the group is assistance on the food.

As it sit's everyone how does the saturday April 26th sound as a preliminary date for the lunch/cruise? I will be meeting with the event's co-ordinator this week at 'The Tilted Kilt' to arrange thing's but is that date good for most at the moment?

Forsure I totally forgot about the race and I have requested to be a volunteer for the race, still waiting for the approval. Let's work on a date sometime in May ok?
