Size of the 355 Mid-Bass Speakers?

    Looking to upgrade the stereo system on my 355B, and therefore wanted to ask if anybody knows the diameter and depth of the mid-bass speakers, which are the ones located in the doors.

    Any suggestions on replacement mid-bass speakers would also be greatly appreciated.

    Just measured the OEM door speakers out of my 1998 355 Berlinetta

    6.5" wide
    2.125 deep - measured from mounting face to rear of magnet

    Replaced with MB Quart - PCE 216

    Many thanks rossofiorano355. MB Quart are obviously top of the line and I am seriously considering them for my mid-bass and tweeters. I assume you have been happy with the PCE 216's? When did you install them?

    Installed about 6 months ago with a JL Audio 150 watt amp, Ferrari original head unit and CD changer. Speakers in stock locations and door panels with no cutting, amp installed in front boot. Wires routed through the courtesy light so again, no cutting involved. I do not want to start another "just listen to the engine" rant, but I rarely turn my stero on. When I do, there is usually someone else in the car (wife) and it sounds great.
